This screen is very well made and the well made assembly has been noticed by guests and neighbors whom also have storm doors. I like it so much that I will be ordering a second for my backyard storm door.

This screen grille is perfect for a vinyl screen door. Matches the white vinyl, is easy to mount and looks great. Keeps my dog from scratching the screen! A great buy!

Well made screen door grill

michelle February 16, 2023

I bought this for my new vinyl screen door because i have 2 pets that love to look outside. My cat gets really excited when she sees birds and loves to paw at my screen door, My dog gets overly excited when he sees delivery drivers and tries to rush the screen door. My husband put this on the inside of the door instead of outside to see if it will deter the pets from doing any damage to the new screen . It seems to be well made . no sharp plastic that will harm my pets and they can still see outside . I would buy this again .

GRILLE TIME

JustKeepGettingBurned September 12, 2016

I recently re-screened 2 doors as the spline had pulled free. I realized this had happened because I was pushing on the screen to open the door whenever I went out the door carrying something that didn't allow me to use a hand to push the door open. After some extensive on-line searching and price comparisons, I decide to purchase 2 of these grilles. I was surprised how long and wide each of these grilles actually were. Initially I was going to install a grille on the inside of each door. I installed the first one on the narrower door and ran into multiple problems which made me change my mind about installing the second grille. After cutting the tabs off the 4 attachment brackets and smoothing off the jagged edges, I realized the guides in the door that allow the screen and windows to slide up or down were keeping the grille anchoring tabs from fitting flush to the door frame. Luckily I was able to use the cut-off pieces as shims to correct that problem although the screws that came with grille were now too short to attach the grille to the door. After installation the first thing I discovered is that the door knob on the main door butted up against the grille necessitating that I had to use much more force to close that door from the inside and also necessitating that I had to push the screen door shut if I went outside and closed the main door first. The second thing I discovered was that it was impossible to raise or lower the storm windows without removing and re-installing the grille. Very inconvenient. I happened to notice that the company that manufactured these grilles had a small advertisement on the wrapper for "push bars". I decided to order only one of these and install it on the other door to see if that worked more to my liking. I did, it does and I have ordered a 2nd for the smaller door which I will install in place of the original grille. This is why I could only give this grille 2 stars, or a "fair", rating. This grille may work well on the OUTSIDE of a screen door but is definitely not designed to be installed on the inside where one would normally push out on it.
