While it was easy to assemble the two parts, the heaviest part is the top one -- making it too heavy for us to lift. We had to lay the pieces down, assemble them on the floor, and lift the unit into place. Had they made the smaller piece the upper one, it would have been much easier to assemble the finished unit.

I ordered 2 to use as a room divider. An Excellent, Excellent choice. They are very sturdy with easy to follow directions. Remember shelf sizes are Not adjustable, so keep that in mind.

I have purchased pieces to put together before and I was amazed at how well made this was. The pieces fit together so smoothly - even placing the top piece on to the bottom - when I got just one peg in the piece slipped on like a dream. It is carefully crafted and the instruction booklet was easy to follow. There were extra screws and dowels and they were easy to use. The shelves are sturdy and I appreciated the inclusion of anti-tipping hardware. I liked the sage color and it fits in perfectly with what I will use this room for. The only drawback is that the company does not have other pieces in a matching color so I will have to live with buying white. I was so pleased that I went back to Hiphuta and bought another piece which I just received. This one has doors and drawers and I hope it will be as much of a dream to put together as the 84" one was.

Bought for playroom/homeschool room. It is holding teacher supplies, art and craft supplies, books, and toys for the baby. The color is beautiful. So far it is sturdy. You will definitely want to secure it to the wall. Buying a second one!

These Chinese bookcases have come a long way! Much stronger and the packaging is excellent. The box was a little banged up but none of the particle boards were damaged. Looks nice, and will hold a lot of books. Anchored well to the wall it's solid, not sure how well it would take if I had to move it to another home. Still a lot cheaper than a solid wood bookcase.

Items and sturdy and assemble quickly but width is about 1.5 inches short, 45.5, and height is about an inch short at 83 inches. Not a big deal but was using to fill a specific space and make to look built in. Now I have to adjust for almost 5 inches of width because I used 3 bookshelves. Description should be accurate.

Nice piece- corner came damaged but since it was back top corner I didn't bother to return it

I ordered two of these and really saved two different bookcases. One was the one I ordered and one was smaller compartments. My husband put these together before I could realize one of them was not the right one so now it's too late to send it back. The one that is not the one I ordered seems like an OK shelf, but was very hard to put together and does not seem super sturdy and looks kind of cheap. I added a peel and stick wallpaper to make it look better. He is still assembling the shelf that was correct so I can edit my review once it's up just FYI you may not receive the right shelf. Watch the letters on the box..
