Hipstreet Equinox2 Tablet, 10.1" WSVGA, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB Storage, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

I'm on Walmart email list and I got an email from them announcing a sale on this product at 139+, just before Christmas. Wanted to get myself a present, so I purchased it right away. For 2 reasons, its Canadian, cheap and does all the simple tasks I need. Facebook, emails, web surfing, and loads of free apps, games....recently I've had surgery, had to be in bed for a long period, and my tablet, working through my wifi, kept me busy and still connected to the outside world. The screen size is a bonus for the price. It can be slow at times, but I'm a patient person. So, yes, I would recommend others to purchase this product.

For the price it works really well and have had no problems with it. I wish it was able to use Google Play for downloads but it has it's own download program which works well. I would buy another if I needed too for the price you can buy 4 for the price of an ipad

This product was delivered to my home 3 days after ordering it. This is my first tablet purchase and I couldn't be more satisfied with a product then I am with the Hipstreet EQUINOX 2 8GB 10.1" Wi-Fi Capacitive Touch Screen Tablet. Learning how to use it was so simple. The on screen video showed all the steps necessary in becoming familiar with the tablet. Downloading apps was a breeze, with 1000's to choose from. The reason I bought this tablet is so I would readily have access to my email and Facebook accounts anywhere I go without having to use the main computer. The WiFi allows me to access the tablet anywhere, anytime. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a top of the line tablet.

This tablet is excellent value for the price [ I paid $138 , at current $148 I still think it's great ] . I downloaded the KOBO eBook reader from GETJAR [ it took only seconds to download and install ] and one of the many FREE eBooks available [ a time travel mystery ] . I love it , the text is easy to read and can be easily made bigger if you want . Admittedly the web page loading is not fast . [ But if I NEED fast I've got a 3.5 GHZ I5 desktop ] . The only thing I did have a problem with was the supplied browser called DOLPHIN BOWSER HD . I had version 8.0.0 . So I downloaded Dolphin version 8.7.0 from Amazon.com [ Amazon too has lots of Android apps many free including this one ] . However , when I tried this , the install step failed saying that there was another Dolphin Browser already installed . So I downloaded and installed an app called UNINSTALL MASTER from GETJAR [ again free ] and used it to remove Dolphin 8.0.0 . Now the download and install of Dolphin 8.7.0 went through without problem and it seems to be much better than the original . Dolphin is one of the better Android browsers . If this all sounds horribly complicated to you , it really isn't . If you are reasonably patient then none of this is "rocket science" it really isn't . This device is so neat [ you'll see ] that it's worth a little time and effort to make it better .

Was a bit sceptical before but proven wrong. The construction, look & feel is decent, the product is upgradeable, easy to setup & use. The processor is a bit on the slow side (only when loading apps) but the price difference compensates for that. Would recomended it as a good alternative to the expensive tablet products out there.

Hi I am very glad I bought this tablet. It was a big saving compared to other tablets. The price was great an it arrived as promised. I think that the quality is very good for the price and I would buy this again. It is simple to operate and the written instructions plus on line help make it an even better deal. thanks

This tablet has all the features I had been looking for, and at a better price than some of the refurbished products offered at other stores. It has a big screen that is easy to read and the speed is good for downloaded games. GetJar has many freebies for it, (although many contain advertising). The internal memory is sufficient, and with an added miniSD card, will hold anything you could want. Slim, light and easy to use. Battery power could last longer, but otherwise love the product.

I ended up returning this product the day after I received it. It uses Getjar which I googled and it had all the apps I wanted, along with thousands of free apps. What I didn't know is that not all tablets are compatible with all apps. I couldn't download facebook or many of the apps that I wanted. When I registered with the Getjar website and entered the model # I only got half (if that) of the apps that are available. I would not recommend this product.

Bought this tablet for my husband. He didn't want a fancy tablet with all the bells and whistles. Just wanted something to surf the net and play a few games. The tablet was noticeably low quality as soon as we took it out of the box. The materials felt and looked cheap. Set up was easy. That's about the only good thing I have to say. The screen wasn't smooth. Your fingers dragged when swiping. And it's S-L-O-W. Dolphin Browser kept crashing. Horrible tablet. Returned it after a week. Walmart accepted the return with no problems.

it worked when initially turned on, but as soon as it was charged up, nothing. Now that I've purchased it online it'll be interesting to see how I get service to replace it
