It took the humidity from 68 to 35%. The dehumidifier was set in my living room and controlled the complete house. Yes, it produces heat while operating. But it does the job of getting the humidity lowered and the house comfortable. The 35-pint bucket was easy to manage and dump. But I will be plumbing the system. It was necessary to dump the bucket twice a day. Everything works great, including all automatic features. It is easy to set up and use. After reading the reviews and talking to a farmer my decision reached. The local farmer uses this same dehumidifier to maintain proper environmental conditions to extend seed life in his seed room. Overall, I am saving on electricity during what was a extremely hot and humid summer. Great Buy and no regrets.
The only thing i don't like is it has to run 24 hours a day because it never gets to the lowest setting. 39 is as low as i can get it to go. However it does extract a lot of water.
Product arrived very well packed and undamaged. Instruction manual is actually well written and helpful! Product worked as described in manual and is uncomplicated and easy to use. I was initially surprised at how small the unit is for the coverage it claimed; however, having used it now for 4 days it works extremely, is surprisingly quiet (especially when the compressor is running!), and all of the features are useful and do what they claim to do.
Works really great, keeps humidity down, pretty quiet. Just wish resevoir were bigger so as to not have to empty so often.
Appears to be doing the job at this time. Unit could be sturdier. When I unpacked it the water holder-bucket had a broken handle. Dealing with the manufacturer to replace the water holder-bucket. Would have returned it to Walmart but they do not have it in stock so had to order it on line. Bucket and handle is cheap plastic and not that sturdy
The machine had a funky smell upon removal from the box, but it dissipated quickly. it worked well upon installation, time will tell if it remains of high quality. The price was higher than I wanted to pay, but was the cheapest I could find.
The water collection bin is much smaller than I thought it would be. Completely my fault for not reading the measurements.
I live in an apartment with an underpowered air conditioner, so I got one of these figuring it would at least lower the humidity. Which it does quite well - the bucket filled up with tons of water even when the AC was running. But it also puts out a fair amount of warm air - you can really feel it coming out of the vent - so it kind of defeated its purpose, at least for me. I had to return it because the automatic shutoff didn't work - when it reached the target humidity I had set it just kept running - compressor and fan.
Description is a little deceptive. It states it removes up to 25 pints a day which means you have to empty the small reservoir multiple times. It needs to accurately describe the size of the reservoir.
Delivery was prompt. It worked great for about a month. Now the fan still blows but does not extract any moisture from the air at all. Will return.
