I have to retract my negative review of this TV because I left it in sheer frustration of two of them in a row arriving smashed which I guess is not the TV manufacturers fault, if your on a budget and want an amazing picture BUY IT!!! looks better than Vizio P series and close to a Samsung Q80 at a fraction of the cost, I will say if you do not calibrated or have someone that knows how to calibrate you are missing half the beauty of this TV, the out of box settings are crude and don't do it any justice, do yourself a favor and use a external 4K stick, Roku or bluray player and make sure your player/stick settings are correct to enjoy an awesome picture, it's no Sony 9 series but it's not 2 grand either . I'm not a gamer so can't speak for that side but if your a movie guy/gal you can't beat it for the money. Be extremely careful handling/unboxing this thing as it has nearly no bezel at all from the bottom up and you will destroy the screen easily if you grip it up high incorrectly, anyway buy it! I can't promise you that FedEx won't destroy four of them before you actually get a good one but it's an awesome TV
Just what I was looking for at a fair price.
The TV works great picture is very good im in heaven glad i bought my tv
Fantastic picture quality and best bang for your buck out there? Love this tv!
This TV is amazing! Believe the hype. Better than Samsung and LG. Just buy it!
After some settings adjustments, the display looks great! (you don't want to use the out of box settings) It's a little annoying that you have to tweak every video mode (SDR/HDR/DV) for each app/input (HDMI1-4/Netflix/Disney /etc). It took a while but I got them all set to the desired settings and it looks great. However we are having some audio sync issues with the TV's internal speakers, that's why I only gave it 4 stars. But the sync issues don't affect my soundbar. Also the Android TV can be a little sluggish, so I disabled all unneeded apps, feeds and notifications, and it's better.
The picture quality is amazing especially for the price. Qled colors and brightness makes the display pop really well and local dimming works very well(most of the time) with little to no blooming. Even though this tv does not accept 120 hz signals with its 120 hz panel, the motion is excellent. The corners and edges are a little darkened and there are uniformity issues but its not bad at all and vignette is really hard to notice while playing games or watching tv. Its really hard to justify spending over $1800 for a top end flagship when you can get very similar if not better performance for $899. If you cant find this tv i suggest waiting for the h9g.
I bought this tv about a month ago. It came in perfect condition and set up was easy. My only issue is the extreme lagging. Navigating through the menu and even while using apps, it lags. I just use my fire stick but even then Hulu will continuously play the same scene while hooked up to this tv. I have to reset the fire stick and clear the cache for it to work or use the Hulu app on the actual tv, but then like I said, I deal with frame lagging. Now, the picture is amazing, especially once you change the settings. But, I believe I will be returning this tv. I cant deal with this forever with the price I paid.
The "smart TV" functionality is terrible. Half of the apps do not remember my login information, so I have to manually enter it or activate from my computer EVERY TIME. The apps also are very slow to load, and sometimes do not load at all but rather freeze on the loading screen, so I have to try multiple times before it finally works. The picture quality is pretty good for the price, although I was expecting better. All in all, I'm very disappointed in the smart tv functionality (or lack thereof); I don't expect that to be one of the features that you "pay for what you get," my 10 year old xbox smart functionality works better than this brand new TV.
Sound through ARC goes crazy frequently, HBO
