I too ordered the above TV from Walmart on-line and had it delivered. Rather than giving the product a one-star for a broken delivery on an item that was not readily available at the time the previous, short-sighted reviewer purchased his, I will give this excellent product 5 stars from my observation. It was unfortunate that my TV arrived in a severely-damaged box, that, I must admit, had sufficient paddings to absorb any shocks but a drop from a fork lift. Of course, I made notes on the delivery sheet of the delivery conditions, hoping that the TV itself was not damaged. Alas, despite having been able to put my hand through the damaged box and to feel a smooth screen surface, the TV was internally cracked. I had to return it. The TV box has sufficient delivery instructions, of which one was that 2 men are required to transport the product. Walmart should have known the difference between shipping furniture and shipping a large TV. The item was delivered by a one-person company. The problem lies squarely in Walmart's hand. The local delivery company did an excellent job with the limitation it had. It also should have refused local delivery from Pilot which delivered it to its drop-off point in Kent, WA. I never met anybody from Pilot, but had spoken to a person at their general line a few day prior to delivery, and I was not impressed. She could not tell me anything other than it was taking instructions from Walmart only, even though I was paying for the delivery. I could not tell her that the box should not be dropped off in the snow, but instead be placed underneath an overhang on the patio if nobody was home. She would not listen. Oh, she also said, ignore any delivery updates in your email - it will be delivered when it is delivered. I am not impressed with Pilot, whom I think caused the severe damage to the box. With the experience I had, and having to pay $50 for delivery while another on-line company did not, I ended up buying it from the latter. It was delivered by two men. Thanks, Besos. Yes it is an excellent TV, now that it is generally available for purchase again. On the positive side, return at Walmart is excellent. Excellent customer service. I chose to return it to a store so that I did not have to wait for a pickup. I would hope it went after Pilot's insurance company, but I suspect, it had just accepted it as a normal return. Pity, as it would be an operating loss for Walmart. Excellent customer service by Walmart, but it should scrutinize its delivery standards.
I purchased the Hisense 75U8H afte researching 75" televisions for 4 months. I compared many factors, but my main criteria were: 1. It had to have a 120 Hz or faster refresh rate for fast-motion high-definition gaming as well as fast-motion sports. Nothing is a bigger fail for an expensive TV than motion blur in my opinion. 2. It had to have at least HDMI 2.1 for the latest gaming (Xbox Series X or Playstation 5) optimization. 3. In addition to high gaming and sports scores, it had to have high benchmark rankings for the Movie and TV categories. The 75U8H not only had the highest rankings, it was less expensive than some of the brands that didn't rank as high on the tests. In fact, when only compared to other 75" televisions with 120Hz refresh rate and HDMI 2.1 ports, the Hisense 75U8H not only had the highest benchmark scores, it was also the least expensive. The setup was easy, it has many great features like built-in Google and Alexa if you choose to turn those features on. Also, the remote is great, I can use 1 button to turn the TV and and go to whatever I want to watch - like YouTube, or Prime. The sound is also very good. One thing I found out before purchasing the Hisense 75U8H is that the plastic grill over the speaker on the back of the TV sticks out about a half inch. Make sure that if you are choosing to wall mount this television, your mount comes with spacers and extra long screws so you don't break the plastic grill when tightening the screws. In summation, I am very pleased with the Hisense 75" U8H Quantum Dot ULED 4k Smart TV. I have been testing it for a week, and it has performed very well with fast-motion gaming and sports video as well as movies and tv. When considering size, performance and cost, this television is an 8 on size (there are bigger, but 75" is pretty big), a 9 on performance (You will have a hard time finding something with a better picture and response time) and a 7 on cost. Yes, you can find less expensive televisions, but not at this level of performance. You can also find way more expensive televisions that do not compare to this level of performance. Taking all factors into consideration (and doing the math, 24/3=8), this tv gets an 8 out of 10. It is a very good value for what you get.
So, i was hesitant to place this order due to the few reviews put there on WM, the only few that were there showed damaged products during shipping. Unlike the other reviews, my 75" U8H arrived undamaged and in pristine condition. (thank goodness) it was a big purchase so i was dreading what could go wrong. At the end of the day it was seamless just like purchasing anything else online and having it arrive a few days later. Settup was easy and so far the tv seems just as smart and responsive with the interface as my tcl with roku. Of youve done your research on RTINGS, youre looking at this tv for a good reason; its amazing. Picture quality is 2nd to none with the exception of aome oleds but even then, you dont feel like youve missed out on an OLED. Instead you feel like you made a smart decision, and that you saved thousands and still got one of the best pictures you have seen. When your friend who spent nearly 4k on a smaller OLED tv visits and says he wishes he chose this for the price you know youre getting a banging value now that its not "brand new" any more. I wish it was like 150$ cheaper and didnt include the built in sub or microphone because i wont be using those if ever. would be so aweslme if we could choose like on a car do you want that option lr not. (Separate surround sound and or smart decices usually are better for sound quality etc ) 10/10 would do it again
Coming from an OLED I regret nothing, this has 90% of the picture quality that's brighter and comes with no fear of the dreaded “burn in” this TV is a ridiculous bargain!
Great TV for the money no regrets
color and picture are both amazing! remote functions are easy to use!
The freight company sent my 75" tv with *one* person. It is physically impossible for one person to move this tv without breaking it, so predictably, it arrived with a broken screen. Not happy.
Awful - arrived damaged, the entire screen was cracked. Terrible customer service on Walmart's part - essentially a “nothing we can do” response regarding replacement. Had to re-package it ourselves to be sent back. Re-purchased via Best Buy - was hesitant to purchase via Walmart initially; now we know better!
Super slow shipping and they charge you for it. TV is okay but not great
