Metabo HPT 7-1/4-Inch Circular Saw With Carrying Bag & Hex Bar Wrench, C7SB3

I've never seen anything like it! Used it to cut up some old, damp solid core wooden doors: -cut through them easily -air blowing from saw kept path directly in front of blade clear -left a neat, piled row of sawdust behind it A great circular saw!

This is a great saw. It is well balanced and low profile (not top-heavy at all). The grips are very comfortable, and the trigger has a great, solid, smooth, built-to-last feel. The blade guard is extremely smooth; I can't feel it moving when I enter the wood even if I try. The foot is 1/16" thick: plenty strong. The plastic housing is very high quality molded plastic (I think). It actually almost looks like fiberglass, but it's not. The blade guard is metal, I'm not sure what kind, but it is plenty strong enough. Not that I would recommend it, but this saw feels like it could be dropped a good deal, and not suffer much damage. Now for the features. It has the externally accessible carbon brushes (the next-best thing to brushless, without the price). The Dust blower really does help a lot with being able to see the line on long cuts. I wasn't sure about the spindle lock, because I had one break on me once, and then it was a real pain to get the blade off, but I don't think that this one will break. The bevel adjusters are very nice, large levers that are easy to use, but don't really get in the way. Get the case with it if you can: it is really well designed, and will protect the saw well. It fits nice and snugly. All in all, a great saw, with sturdy durability, convenient features, and at a low price.

I have had this saw for 3 Months now. And it has worked great. It is lite weight yet very strong, it has cut through anything i have thrown at it. I have no complaints. AAA+++

This saw is wonderful, strong, light and user friendly. Its a monster compare to others, 15 amps of pure power. Nice case included. Hitachi are the best tools out there.

I have used this saw many times and it works great. I did hit a drywall screw and tore about 25 percent of the teeth off the blade. Motor didn't even seem to lose RPM's. I replaced the blade and saw operates as it always did.

I was talked into trying a Porter Cable saw.After the second day I returned it to the store and got the Hitachi I had wanted.After having two other Hitachi products I knew I should have bought the one I first decided on.Great power and smooth cutting.I'm happy now.

I work in the construction field (mostly remodeling houses and new construction) and we use this saw all the time and have never had a probem . My boss has the same saw and it influenced me to buy mine!

I'm framing my basement and needed a new circular saw. Read some reviews about the Hitachi and thought I'd give it a try. Very reasonable price for a saw that performs so well. This will not be my last Hitachi brand tool I buy!

I have only used the saw a few times, but it works great! It is easy to hold and cuts through wood effortlessly. I replaced a 20 year old craftmen with this Hitachi...it was a good choice. I like the case..and expect the saw to be the last one I need to buy.

the base is not flat enough. the pivot rivet is too loose. the square bolt that tightens the saw in depth or in an angle keeps turning and getting loose.
