good grip, easily cut thru 1-1 1/2 inch branches with the ratchet action.

Not great on thicker branches
I'm having problems getting it to open big enough to accept an inch and a half diameter branch. I'm also having problems getting it to bite down on it. I am not impressed at all with these. I've had plastic ones that do better
