HMS Swing Lid Kitchen Plastic Garbage Can, Black Lid & Base, 13.5 gal

I'm in love with this trash can have to say I been looking all over for a red trash can cause everything in my kitchen is red and i have been looking all over for a red trash can couldn't find one anywhere I was looking at few on amazon and thier was kinda pricy so I check out Walmart and I think I was in heaven that day when I came across this trash can I didn't even look at the rest I just wanted this one thank you guys love this store

Just moved here to Las Vegas and just had the chance to purchase myself a trash can. Like many others, except for the crumbs etc, getting caught in the little indentation of top. I really like the trash receptacle. It's in one of my favorite colors that goes with my kitchen.

I purchased this trash because the lid on my last trash can broke that had a lift to open lid. This trash can has push in to open lid that seems to me that would last longer. It looks really nice in my kitchen and it's tall enough so that my two year old toddler and my yorkie can't get into it! The only caution I would give you is if you purchase it be carefully doing the site to store purchase because the one they originally were going to give me had really bad scuff marks on them but the nice lady at Walmart gave me the option of going into the store to see if there was a nicer on and there was.

We used a 10 gallon awful trash can before finally purchasing this Hefty 13.5 gallon can and we are very pleased! It holds 13 gallon trash bags perfectly (we use the vanilla scented from Family Dollar store) and couldn't be happier --- highly recommend! The color is a deep red.

I really like the color of this trash can. My color scheme in the kitchen is yellow and red, so this fits right in. The trash can is not made our of very sturdy plastic, but it is good enough for my needs. I had measured some of the trash cans at work and thought the size of this one would work for me at home, but it is indeed a bit too big. I never have so much trash that I would need a can this large. My suggestion would be to be careful when you consider the measurements and gallons that this can holds.

for 14$ and change, this is good value, BUT the red is a muted tomato red, rather than a cherry red which would have added a bit of LIFE to a kitchen, AND the transit packaging by mfg. is just plain tragic, so ALL cans will be scraped and scratched (I looked at every one), not overly noticeable when in the home, but you'll just have to live with imperfection, AND I opted for a switcheroo, going for the flat-top spring-load, so my cats have a landing pad for watching me prepare breakfast......the spring-load SOUNDED LIKE TROUBLE, but upon inspection, it looks pretty simple.....the plastic lip that holds the tension will probably wear eventually, but if the lid is closed and held down before releasing the spring-loaded grabber, I'm guessing the can will last as long as you'd want it to......worst happens, you buy another at this low price.......either the swing top or the spring load seemed to be equal, just a matter of preference.....I've seen these identical cans selling for 49$ and more......at THOSE prices, I'd be unhappy.......at 14$, I'm HAPPY.......AND I also got a smaller cherry-red (different mfg.)......THAT'S what I'm talkin' about!!!...... for plastic bag recycle......too bad it didn't come in the taller size!

I was very excited for this trash bin since it was red and I just redid my kitchen in apples. When I went to pick it up at the store it looked like it had been dragged on the ground behind a car. It was all scratched, scuffed up and dirty. I was not at all thrilled with the fact they would even ship such a destroyed piece. Not at all happy with the product. Got a refund and left it at the store. Still shocked they would have even shipped it in the condition it was in. I will have to find a store that sells them in red and go pick it up myself to make sure it isn't damaged.

I went to my local Wal-Mart to pick up this trash can, but I decided to return it as soon as I saw it. The photo online makes it look like a very solid, bright red trash can. Instead, it was a cheap-looking, ugly magenta. Don't let the photo fool you!

The red plastic was missing color in places so that the lid appeared to have splotches. Also, as others have written, the trash can was poorly packaged, no wrapping paper at all in the box. Even at $14.00, I returned the trash can because the appearance was so shoddy.

This trash can is not worth your effort. I knew the price was too good to be true. You can only put a couple things in it before the lid starts to jam on the trash and you end up lifting the 'swing' lid to put the trash in. I am returning them and I was stupid enough to buy two of the.
