I have only had chane to use it a few times. Sure should of bought it alot earlier. I have trouble seeing my weld due to eye injury years age, not welding related. I can see a lot better with this hood. It's a excellent hood price was very reasonable price. Definitely recommended.
Great value and it fits comfortably. Most importantly it allows me to see what I'm trying to weld much better than my old hood. The larger view port is great.
It works way better than a Cheapy from Harbor Freight. For a little more money it's worth it and my eyes 👀 aren't hurting anymore. Smiles : )
So I bought this welding helmet for my son, as he is learning to weld in high school and the equipment there is not so good. This helmet has great spec's and is a quality helmet especially for the money! It has the 4 arc sensors, 1/25,000 darkening time, grind mode, and comes with several extra protective shields. Whether you're a pro or beginner, this is a very good product, I definitely recommend it.
I'm just a "hobbyist" welder, but needed more adjustability and versatility from a welding helmet. This one is amazing, especially for the price. You can fine-tune the settings for any circumstance or material application, the field of view is fantastic, it's comfortable, and I can wear glasses underneath it with no problems. You can't beat this helmet for the features and the price !
I purchased this helmet for a welding job under a vehicle. Lightweight enough that it was comfortable laying down and welding overhead. Really like the adjustments. The area of vision is a nice size too. I have an auto darkening helmet from a big name tool company and this one is far superior and less than half the price!
Wow this is a great product for your garage warrior that is not a professional. I like to small repair jobs and build odds and ends type of things around the house so a mig welder is my go to. I bought this helmet to replace and older unit that i felt was letting to much light pass before darkening. It has a great fit, not to heavy and the darkening adjustments work great, no more flash to the eyes. Welding helmets can get up to 600-700 buck easy for heavy use but this one works great for me.
We bought this as a back-up if our other helmet broke and it did...paid a lot of money for that one and turns out our 32yr welder prefers this over the big expensive one...says it does everything that one does and it works great. Wish I would have bought this a while ago.
I bought a Hobart welding hood to use for a 5 week welding course. I was impressed with its durability and battery life.
First helmet I ever bought as I am just learning to weld. Friends recommended not to buy a cheep helmet to start. Good advice. Glad I purchased this on. Based on other helmets I have used I can really see the work. Comes with replacement lenses. The one thing I recommend is finding a good protective bag or case to store it in if you don't have a place to hang in your shop.
