perect product for a new water feature I'm preparing for this spring . A small fountain for the birds to use , this product will be the filtration and visual display element .

Good lava rock for carnivorous plants
Good quality lava rock that does not release any salts into the water, exactly what I need for my butterworts and other carnivorous plants. A little bit too chunky though — I expected it to be smaller-grained.

Hoffman needs to sell bigger bags
It works really well with plants, but the bag does not fill in a big space so you may have to buy more than one bag

Make sure your delivery will be delivered
Have no doubt this is a great bag of lava rocks if the USPS would have delivered. USPS refused to deliver my bag and returned to seller. Reason do not deliver a bag of rocks. My address is perfect and other delivery companies make delivery.
