First off, let me just say, the final product is gorgeous! This is a challenging technical build that will test your fine motor skills. It is built like a book with a hinge in the middle so that when closed, it creates a tunnel inside with the open aquarium on either side. Under the visual base plates is all the mechanics of the moving parts....yes, this has SIX parts that move: three on each side. Unexpectedly, by far the hardest part of this build was attaching the blue curved tank wall pieces to the base...take a deep breath and activate your patience powers! It took me a total of about 5hrs to put together this build. I only encountered one missing piece that wasn't essential. This set only comes with four additional pieces, so try not to lose any. The instructions were most straight forward with only a couple of unclear moves that will require you to notice context positioning and do some stud counting. The only thing that would make this set even more stunning would be a set of fairy lights inside the roof of the tunnel, which I'm definitely going to add before it goes in my display case! I got this set as a gift for a family exchange party and I will not be upset if I end up getting to keep it! Pros: 1. Its big! I thought it would be much smaller but it's a very nice size with a lot of pieces. 2. Apparently there are moving aspects and pieces to the build which adds a lot of whimsy and fun! 3. The blue pieces in the set specifically are very nicely colored and I could just stare at them for ages. Cons: 1. Our only con is that some of the pieces don't look quite as vibrantly colored in person as they do on the box.

My 10 year son old LOVE it. Has the same quality as the Lego brand but a better price!!

This item states it is for 6 years. In actuality you need an engineering degree and a lot of patience to put it together. There are 1,300 pieces in 4 bags. To put something together you need to open ALL the bags as parts for the item are located not in one bag but are spread over the 4 bags. If you can put up with 1,300 scattered on a table good luck not being totally exasperated.
