Holmes HAWF2043 Dual Blade Twin Window Fan with One Touch Thermostat

Love these window fans. Had them years ago in another apartment and after moving knew I had to get them for my new place. Installed them with a window ventelator screen and then the regular screen in back. Allows me to leave my apt windows open 24/7 (depending on outside temp) and come home knowing the room will be comfortable with no risk of rain coming in . . . all without leaving the air conditioner running! This window fan is a great value. It is thermostat or manually controlled and very quiet while running. And the reversible air flow feature means not having to turn the fan around by hand to switch from intake to exhaust. I recommend this fan!!!

We love this fan very quiet. We bought our first one about 10 years ago and still works and looks great.

It works really well. I bought two so I could have a nice cross breeze (yeah, I'm old and that's how we roll)

Every room in my large house has at least one of these fans in it. I do not have central air. Window AC units for the few very hot days during the summer. Ceiling fans in every room. I mount the fans on the inside of my window frames in April and the remove them in October. They intake air whenever the outside is above 65 degrees. On very hot days I shut the fans off, close the windows and turn on the air. The rest of the time we let mother nature's cool outside air cool the house down. The fans are a key part of a very efficient AC system.

Works great however one fan makes a slight vibration noise so I'm wondering if this was used and then returned. Disappointed that you can't turn one side off, however having one intake and another outflow is not bad.

This fan was to replace an identical one that i've had for over 20 years- the buttons were finally starting to give out, but it still worked flawlessly and so quiet! The fan arrived and all was well- turned it on, buttens worked perfectly. But after about 3-5 minutes, the left side fan started to vibrate, noisily. I tried all settings but could not get it to stop. I tried running it for a few hours but still no change. I returned it but will be repurchasing the same product. It MAY have been that the shipping box AND internal box both had some holes through them. Possibly very rough handling had knocked something loose. Walmart was so easy to return the item to. Exchange would have been easier- but all the same, easy refund.

I have always had this brand ( Holmes ) and liked it, this one is terrible. Very Very Loud, not white noise loud but more like a generator. Will be replacing it.

The fan made a clacking sound straight out of the box. I greased it but it didn't help. Returning for another.

after using for 3 weeks started to rattle badly. Then 5 days ago, last fan quit. It was only used for about 8 hours at night, and not all nights. really dissapointed. Ordered a bionaire from someone else, it is so much quieter, and has more choices in temperature and fan speed.
