Holmes True HEPA Console Air Purifier with Filter Life Progress Bar and Quiet Operation, Large Room - Black (HAP8650B-NU-2)

Bought it for my wife who has breathing difficulties and is very sensitive to dust and other air contaminants. Have had this unit operating for a month and she is delighted with the results. She says there is a huge improvement with her breathing. This unit well suited for a larger room, which is where it's used. Very happy with this unit.

We have a wet/damp basement. We do use a dehumidifier. Unfortunately, that does not diminish the moldy/mildew odor that I can smell the minute I enter our home. Having our basement waterproofed plus mold abatement is not financially feasible right now. So in the meantime these air cleaners are taking care of these issues. I purchased two air cleaners (I use both on high 24/7 in the basement) plus extra filters.

I would and do recommend this ai puifier to anyone that has allergies and sensitivities to mold or mildew. This unit does the job. I paid 3X more for another BIG Name Brand and they no longer work andnever really did the job. We have dogs and their dander makes me sneeze...used to!

Overall this air purifier works great. When the unit is on high, it is a little on the noisy side. I am using it to remove dander from my birds. I have the unit sitting right next to the cage and I have noticed a decrease in the amount of dander in the room.

A co-worker told me he had purchased this unit and raved about it daily. I purchased one for us, as we have 3 dogs and constantly are having sinus issues. I had never thought about the allergens in the house being the cause. We have had ours running non-stop since I purchased it and can see the difference with less dust in the air. This purchase was for my son for his house, after seeing ours he wanted one. Great purchase! Easy to use, very little care - long life hepa filters.

I got this when my Allergies and Asthma were the worst they have been in 10 years!!! I was desperate! I researched others and this had best reviews for longevity, quality, value, square footage of space cleaned and results. I used it right away! Cleans better than the one twice as expensive, that I ordered on line, the same day we picked this one up at Walmart!! This one just desn't have the timer.... not a big deal!! This one Cleans dog dander, pollen, dust.... everything !! great machine. It says 300 square feet, but we have a large bedroom and worked well ! Great machine!!!!

I bought 2 air purifiers about a month ago. I had an awful cough for going on 3 years. Sometimes to the point of getting sick. My doctor told me it was all allergies but I'm not able to take any allergy medicine without it making me sick or making me to tired. While on vacation (where I wasnt coughing) we had figured out i was probably allergic to our dog. My husband seen an air purifier in the store and that's what got us thinking about one because of it saying it helped with pet dancer. Once we got back from vacation I did some research and order 2 from your website. Best thing I've ever done. I don't cough nearly as much and have not gotten sick. In the future I will be purchasing another one and hopefully that will take care of the whole house and my cough.

Reviewed several products not knowing which one to pick. Had issues with excessive dust in rooms. I choose this particlar item due to value. So far I have kept it in a bedroom and did extensive cleaning with it running on high. The first few days I didn't think it was working, but within the month I could not believe the particles it pulled out of the air. It is noisy on high, but you could think of it as a noise reduction benefit. On lower levels it is very quiet.

I've had this now for about a week. The helpa filter was a must. So far, the unit is working fine and I have noticed less sniffling. Noise could be an issue. The sound it makes is like a 'white noise' machine. Settings 3 and above are very loud. My main complaint so far is how this arrived. I had it shipped to my home. The unit itself seems to be ok. But the condition of the box has me concerned that maybe something was damaged and I haven't discovered it yet. The box it was in was very beat up and had several holes. One of the holes was very large, about 3" x 5". UPS apparently decided to hide this by putting their large sticker over this hole. There was also another large hole along the bottom edge. Even the Styrofoam inside the box was broken and crumbled. I wasn't home when this was delivered, but in the past the drivers have literally thrown packages at my door. The condition of this box shows that my package had a lot of abuse.

Really moves the air. Has made quite a difference since we purchased it. It is a lot louder than I was expecting however. If I run it on 1 or 2 it is fairly quiet , but when I go to 3 or 4 it is REALLY loud. Overall happy with it! Has helped with my breathing!
