When my bedroom ceiling fan went kaput in the middle of a West Texas desert summer, I needed a quick fix before I could work on the ceiling fan. The HomCom caught me eye. I've had my fair share of room fans before, but never with a humidifier. Being plagued with chapped lips, bloody noses and dry eyes that come with desert living, I was intrigued. Now, instead of just getting the air movement in my bedroom, I'm adding about a liter of water to the air there. I pour a liter or so of water into the receptacle container atop the fan and it flows down to the holding tank at the base. The water is then blown out slowly through the fan mechanism throughout the night. As a bonus, there is a temperature drop benefit associated with the evaporation process. The fan has 3 speeds - the higher speeds are noisier than the lowest setting, but not so obnoxiously loud that it would keep you up. The fan oscillates as well, allowing for a full-body sweep. Further, it comes with a remote control so you can manage all features from across the room. In short, a full-functioning, sleek fan with a built-in humidifier!
Very nice.Bigger than I expected.Works great...very cold air and comes with a remote control. Also I love the design.
This fan is larger than I thought but does a good job keeping us cool at night. Phoenix temps can be brutal and I was looking for a fan that would help add some humidity to the air and cool us at night. This checks all of the boxes. It's quiet and lowers the bedroom temp by 5-10 degrees depending on the humidity. Love it and I'm going to buy another for the other bedroom.
This unit is easy to set up, easy to operate, you can feed cold water and ice cubes into top tank. Place small refreezable ice containers in the top tank. I rent a room where I am unavailable to mount window type air conditioner so I am limited to this type of unit. For a small room you get a bit of cooling, but I am ok with that.
I have been using this fan for about a week now and it is awesome. Ihaben had to use the cold air feature yet because the fan it self works beautifully.
perfect for just easy breeze
easy to add water, ice. the look is very stylish, look.
After putting in the ice pack, the wind is cooler than that of a normal electric fan, but it doesn't have the function of automatically turning on. If it's very hot in the middle of the night, I have to wake up and turn it on.
Its does not get cold, and it creates alot of moisture when it blows out the air I feel it on the floors.
I never received it
