I bought the above item twice, once for my mom and then for my mother-in-law. They both love it !!! The one enjoys her shower chair without the arms on it but liked the idea they could be installed at a later date and time if needed. the other liked the stability the arms and everything else provided when combined together. As I said sooooo nice, I bought it twice !!!
The quality, design and finish of the product are good. The seat has perforations so that the shower water is not accumulating and the feet have anti slip rubber covers. The delivery was really fast, the packaging was in good order and the assembly of the chair was not difficult. I highly recommend the product for anyone with a foot injury or an eldery person. I'm recovering from a difficult ankel surgery and we intend to keep the chair for later use, as we are not that far from being senior people and the construction is in aluminium.
Fast delivery, clear and detailed assembly instructions, very sturdy construction (300 lb capacity), easy to assemble, fits in small shower, can be used without backrest if space is really tight, arms are vital for "push up" to standing position, great value for the money.
We replaced a plastic shower chair, with this chair for the following reasons: 1 . This chair is height adjustable, which makes a huge difference for a person who has difficulty getting in, or out of a seated position (easily changed if needed). 2 . This chair has sturdy arm rests to aid getting in and out of the chair (easily installed, or removed). 3 . This chair has a backrest to help the user feel more secure when seated (easily adjusted, or removed). 4 . This chair has very large, rubber pads on the ends of the legs, which plant the chair very securely on a textured shower floor. All of the adjustable features are accomplished by simply pushing in a spring loaded pin with your thumb, and sliding a tube with holes in it in or out, past the pin. This is exactly the same set up as is used to adjust crutches. The only criticism I have is related to the assembly instructions for the seat back to its metal tubes, and the center screw for the legs to seat. The parts pack came with 5 spring / lock washers, but there is no mention of where to use them. I figured out that they are to be used with the large, curved washers, to secure the M35 bolts. Even the diagram was inconsistent (figures #2 & #3).
Easy to assemble, except the instructions failed to tell you to use the spring washers with the regular washers. But, if you've ever put something like this together than you would know to do that anyway.
Less than 15 minutes to put together. Easy instructions. Fast delivery. Very sturdy. Holds up to 300 lbs. Even though I only weigh 125 lbs. I like that it is so sturdy.
This chair made her feel much more secure while bathing. The height adjustment is perfect and the arms make it easier to stand up
This chair works fine for me but I do have to reach back & hold on to both arms before I set down because the suction cups on each leg end does not adhere to the shower floor which is flat atone. Otherwise it is a good chair & I will keep it & use it daily. It does fit my boy just fine & I like the height of it since I'm 5'8" tall. I hold on to the handles & stand up easily before grabbing onto the shower grab bar & walking out of the shower. I am recovering from a broken leg. This chair doesn't take up much room in my 5'x4' shower so I will keep it in there after I'm completely healed so I can use it to set down & shave my legs or whatever.
It's sturdy and good for smaller shower spaces. The adjustable arms and seat height work well but are s tad wobbly. They lock in fine so I don't think there is a safety concern, but you should be aware of it when you use it.
The chair was easy to assemble, but one side of the handle holes were larger than the other side so it is a little shaky. Also, the suctions on the bottom are not the best. I am careful using it and hope my use is temporary as I heal from a broken leg.
