I'm converting a basement room to a photo studio and wanted an inexpensive flooring. The flooring went down quickly and easily. It conforms nicely to the cement floor. The edges have two patterns, so it's best to sort them as you remove them. Then you'll know which one to use to form the edge. The files cut easily with a knife or utility scissors for forming angles. The tile does puncture (it is just foam), so put a coaster under narrow legs of furniture and don't walk on it with narrow high heels.
These are great, easy to install, provides a nice cushion, and has held up very well after being installed for several weeks.
We purchased this product for our basement floor and we're very pleased with it. It was easy to assemble and makes our floor look so much better. It makes the room feel more comfortable and inviting. Our only dislike is that it easily indents and punctures. If it were a little more durable it'd literally be perfect! We recommend purchasing an extra box to have replacement tiles on hand. Overall, it's a great product and we're glad we purchased it.
I live in a basement apartment with concrete floor and tile just didnt work and most parts have holes and just dirt so I decided to give this a try starting with one of the bedrooms
Super easy to put together. Only thing that would make it better is if it come with a few half squares. But hey, can't have everyrthing. Definitely worth it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Exactly what I needed. Style with comfort and easy to remove if water enters the basement. Great alternative while you save to afford the real laminate flooring.
I purchased these tiles as flooring for my yoga room. They look great and went together with ease. The tiles do come apart slightly, but I'm guessing it's because I laid them down over carpet. I have a set of foam tiles that are 5/8" (these are 3/8") and those are much sturdier and stay in place better. Seeing the difference, I'd probably only buy 5/8" tiles in the future. I also find these tile are rather slippery when walking on them with socks on. Not sure I would be satisfied with them as regular flooring. However, as yoga flooring they work.
Super easy, barely an inconvenience to install. The half inch of padding makes the concrete floor of a utility room super comfortable to bare feet. Why only 3 stars? It looks terrible installed because there are only two different designs. The dark veining that looks so good in the thumbnail repeats too often. I tried every combination of the A and B pieces and all I got for my efforts was moving the dark veining around some but also causing the seam between two pieces in some of the combinations to be painfully obvious. The product is great but in order for a faux marble to not look quite so faux would require at least four different patterns and preferably six. In order for a box to have 25 pieces there are four packages of six and one loose tile. The split of A and B pieces is inconsistent. The first box had four more B pieces than A pieces. But the second box had eight more A pieces and that was only opening three of the four bundles. (As I didn't yet need the last six pieces to complete the task I haven't yet opened the last bundle. It may well have five B pieces which would even the A and B quantities.)
I would have given it a 3 if the design didn't peel off, leaving ugly, pink, foam board visible. This is a disposable flooring, at best. It's cheap… so you get what you pay for. Don't put it in a room you actually live in if you want to keep it looking nice. The upside- if you have little people crawling and learning to walk, it breaks falls quite nicely. And it cleans much easier than carpet. Functionally, it works. Aesthetically, don't get your hopes up. It looks cheap when you put it in and even cheaper once someone walks on it a few times. It also seems to bubble or something. Like in a room of 20 squares, you'll get up one morning and just one square seems to have expanded overnight just enough to pop a little in the middle and make a perfect tripping hazard. Not sure what that's all about. See photo below. This is about 9 months of use. I put it over an old, ugly linoleum that I plan on removing for nice wood floors after the toddlers are older. It traps moisture underneath so I wouldn't put it over anything you'd worry about warping or ruining.
Looked and feels great under the feet but not practical as anything not soft punctures the tiles and leaves a hole. We got the gray and so where ever there is a puncture, white shows through. They are almost like disposable the quality is so poor :( We refinished our basement and did the floor. They laid and assembled easily but once the floor was finished 8 tiles already needed to be replaced. You can not sit any furniture on the tiles. We had a table on them and it left 4 marks on the tiles where the legs were and one of the table legs ripped one of the tiles when the table was moved (very carefully may I add) Two other tiles were damaged by a mirror resting on them. One tile was punctured in opening the package, etc. I am concerned about the long term ability of the floor to hold up. I would say don't get the faux wood look, just stay with a solid color.
