THE HANDLE ON THIS KETTLE CAN MELT. DON'T BUY!!!
DON'T BUY.. I REPEAT DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT. I received it on Jan. 13 and used it to heat water for instant coffee. Yesterday the handle made of hard plastic or resin melted at the screw holding it in place. The other screw holding it by the opening where the water comes out was okay. Luckily I was only moving the kettle from the stove to the counter to pour the hot water into my coffee cup. Any further and there could have been hot water all over or on myself. Since the handle melted at the screw, the handle came loose but I was able to put the kettle down on the counter before anything awful happened. The screw hole on the handle can't be repaired so there is no way to repair the handle with a new screw. So as I stated above, DO NOT BUY THIS TEA KETTLE. If the handle can melt by heating water, which is what this product is for, it is not worth the money to buy it.
