This is a Small Colander
When I ordered this I was expecting something larger because it said 3 qt. Not knowing the size of 3 qt. I looked at one of my cooking pots that was 3 qt and thought oh, that will be large enough. Wrong, that is not the way to measure a colander and I still don't know how you would measure one. But, anyway this is measured with a measuring tape as being 9w X 9w X 4 inches deep. A head of iceberg lettuce fits it perfectly and not any larger than that. It will be full with any fruits or vegetables of that type & size. It is stainless steel with holes on all sides and the bottom, and has a circle type of stand not the hook feet. It is very nice looking and lightweight and a nice addition to any stainless steel cookware collection.

Great for the price!
This colander is not real heavy but its a great deal for the price. It works just as well as the heavier ones.

a little disappointed in the quality, or lack of. Expected it to be a bit heavier but it will serve the purpose.

don't buy it - prop. 65 cancer risk. read details.
size and price ($10, on sale?)seemed perfect. also said it was stainless steel. But I should have read detailed info where it has a proposition 65 warning (cancer causing chemicals in it). Feels light weight
