This was a well done story of the damage alcoholism has on an individual and those who care about him. It was pretty accurate to my experience with alcoholism in my family. Finding a relationship with Christ has been the answer. I felt it was done in such a way that it didn't sugar coat and it didn't overexpose the perils of this life that revolves around a bottle. I really enjoyed it!

This is a movie about a baseball player his life and the mistakes he made and just how redeemed a life can be coming out of disfunction and into a healthy life of liberty. Awesome story and Fox is awesome in this role!!!

I saw this in the movies when it came out and was happy to purchase it to see again and to share the message of recovery thru Celebrate recovery. I have been attending CR and praise God He has taken me from a life of anger, bitterness and codependency to a life of joy and peace and forgiveness.

This movie is really good because it helps show that there are Christ centered recovery programs for everyone no matter what you are going thru. Celebrate Recovery is a safe place for those looking for healing the hurts, habits, and hang-ups.

I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS. SOME PARTS NOT APPROPRIATE FOR THE YOUNGER CHILDREN. ITS TELLS A MESSAGE OF HOPE AND WHAT JESUS CAN DO WHEN THERE IS NO OTHER WAY. ACTING VERY GOOD AND SCOTT ELROD IS GORGEOUS.

good movie about a baseball player with an alcohol problem that enters a unique treatment program. Would be great to loan to someone that has any type of life issue--not just a problem with drinking

I couldn't get through it. Watched for the first hour, but the story just didn't capture my attention nor that of my family. I thought it would be inspiring and uplifting, but no. It's still sitting in the dvd player from when I stopped it.
