Homeland (blu-ray) No future
Homeland was good but not in the category of Breaking Bad or even Justified. Parts of the script seemed contrived i.e., when scenes included the two lead CIA agents and the Assistant CIA Director, it felt like an excuse to include the Assistant Director. In other words the Assistant Director did not add any tangible entertainment value. However, he did straighten his tie, button his coat and turn his head away from cameras in silence many, many, many times. Sorry, but now comes the bad news: Homeland went straight down hill during seasons 2 and 3 (especially season3). So, you have to ask yourself. Do I want to spend money for season 1 then regret purchasing seasons 2 or 3? Personally, season 1 was OK. However, I feel betrayed . I wasted money and time on season 1 which led me into aditional expense and flustration for the following seasons. You be the judge.
