So we didn't want the ugly looking cage in our living room. We're getting a puppy that is crate trained so a permanent home for it is what we needed. It's heavy! Easy to follow instructions but a little tough to assemble as much of it is with an Allen key. The latch isn't the best closing mechanism but I just plan on changing it to something better. Very roomy! We have a standard size Aussiedoodle coming our way!
Great purchase. I bought two. I recommend putting them together at the same time step by step. The process was so much easier. My dogs are large and these have worked great. Most dog mats fit inside.
We've been looking for a Nice bed for our dog for a couple years, at a reasonable price. We wanted one that was large enough but also we could close or leave open. We wanted it to look nice in the bedroom because that's where he sleeps. We used to use one of those play yard plastic cages but it was tacky and wanted him to have a nice space. He is a 45lb Doodle and fits perfectly, we put a Serta foam mattress and his blanket. We did have to cut the mattress slightly to fit the depth perfectly. He goes in every night when we say bed time. the first couple nights we slide the door closed but no need to anymore it just stays open. The assembly was easy with the directions, just don't pop the top door snaps until you place the sliding door in place. If you do you can snap them back and place the door in the glide again.
My dog loves this crate. I saw reviews the latch some dogs got it unlatched. we put the latch close to the arm of our couch and she hasn't gotten out. even if you have to buy a different latch its worth the money. very sturdy. our cat lounges on the top of it during the day. i have a 30 lb boxer beagle mix. she can turn around in crate and has a lot of room. i love the bowls that attach to it. they easily turn out so they can be used when they are out of crate. every dog owner that comes in and sees it wants one.
My dog loves her new condo. It's roomy %26 the bowl feature is a plus. Opens and closes easily. Looks amazing. Much bigger than we expected. Great buy great value.
It was difficult for my boyfriend to get it done without any instructions on what tools were needed , he managed to get it done Hallelujah..I give it a 10
Not the easiest to install but looks great. It's a little flimsy and the lock is very loose. However the look is nice. It's a great addition to my home and pets love it.
The concept is great- a more furniture-look that fits in with home decor, but I have 2 design problems. First, the mechanism that holds the sliding door on the track is secured by a pin that is short and allows the (apprx 40 lbs) dog to push hard enough to get the door off its track and the dog then walks right out. Second, the aesthetics of the wood is great, but it's similar to or maybe actually is partical board not solid wood which he chews probably the whole time I am gone. It already looks terrible in less than one week. Used 7 times for a total of about 8.5 hours so far. On a positive note, the size is perfect. The assembly instructions were very comprehensive with all pieces provided, only needed a screwdriver. The shipping came very quickly on the day it was initially estimated. It's pretty heavy. I was smart enough to place it on an upside down rug (runner) so I can move (slide) it without scratching the floors. Would only recommend for a small/calm/older dog. It's not puppy-proof.
The door has fallen completely off twice. Our puppy is only 18 pounds and shouldn't be able to push on it that it falls off.
Very cheaply made product. Breaks easily.
