Honey-Can-Do 40 ft. Indoor/Outdoor Plastic Retractable Vinyl Clothesline, White

The retractable clothes line works perfectly in the basement when weather does not permit outside hanging. Easy to install and made of sturdy material. The only downside was I had to use my own screws because the ones that came with it were cheap junk. But I think that is the norm now for many ptoducts.

The summer is comming, so the hot! I need to be more energy saver, and ecofriendly...Also I read the sun is a great natural desinfectant, so I want my cloth clean and desinfected. It is a great product and very resistant and easy to install.

Our last one lasted 20 years out in the sun. If this one lasts that long, we will have to leave it our will..... ha ha

Easily installed. Using for drying outside, so far so good. I havent had a very heavy load on it yet & not using the full 40' of line. It works for me & my stuff & WAY cheaper than running a dryer(which broke) and was much cheaper & easier to replace(for now). Probably wont work so good in the winter time,LOL!!!

So far so good. I wish I'd thought to buy my new "solar dryer" ;) long before I did, probably could've saved big on my electricity bills. I've only used it a couple of times so far. I tried to install outside somewhere where the hail we occasionally get wouldn't damage it. It's made of plastic and I hope it will withstand not only inclement weather, but I would also think full sun would eventually break down the plastic.

This was purchased as a replacement for a worn retractable clothesline. I like that it has a metal spring hook to attach the line with, however, the line on this clothesline is much thinner than the one I am replacing. I am not sure how that is going to affect the quality as far as longevity of use. The container that holds the line when retracted isn't exactly what I expected from the picture online; it has a pinkish cast to it. I am planning to spray paint it so that it blends better.

I really like the metal bracket which fastens this clothesline to the wall (that is what gave out on my old clothesline). Unfortunately, the clothesline itself is too stretchy. It is hard to get the line taunt enough to keep it from massively sagging when a load of clothes is put on it.

item was what I wanted except it is the whitest almond I ever saw . Ordered this one that was little more expensive just because it showed almond color which is close to color I painted my laundry room//DISSAPOINTED but it is not worth the trouble to return

I can't express how disappointed I was with this purchase. It is IMPOSSIBLE to hang any other than maybe handkerchiefs and underwear on this retractable clothesline - no matter how tight you try and make the line before you hang clothes on it, it still sags so much that all of your clothes are either just above the ground or touching the ground. I would highly suggest you spend a bit more and get a better one. I really miss my old one, which broke after years of service. This is NO replacement. I read the reviews that said as much, but didn't heed them; I hope you do!

The line sags once clothes are hung on it. When I tried to tighten the line it broke. Please don't waste your MONEY!!!
