There's not much noise when you turn it on and it cools down a room rather quickly. There's also a few options for how fast it goes and that's also a nice feature.

We installed it in our back deck. This puts out a lot of air and you can control the speed for maximum comfort. Remote works excellent to stop it turning when you want. I am so happy, this fan is of excellent quality. It doesn't make so much noise. It looks stylish and very comforting. It can be used both outdoors and indoors. Definitely a great fan!

You can mount it on the wall so it is off of the floor and out-of-the-way, but it can still be angled right where you need it. I also love that it can be used indoors or outdoors although we don't really have a space for that.

It does require some drilling and needs two people to install it to the wall. The remote makes it convenient to use at a distance. Knock on wood, so far this fan is doing great. We are getting into the colder months now so it's not used as much, but it works great. My husband was able to easily mount it in the corner of the coop and we could plug it right in. I like that it has a remote so I can use it from the doorway and not have to walk through the coop. It also has a timer on it as well which is a pretty neat feature. As far as noise, it's really no different than any other fan we have owned. It's not overly loud at all and it seems to be a fairly durable fan. It's mostly made of metal, but it's also damp rated so hopefully it will hold up and not rust.

They haven't mounted it yet but it seems like it wouldn't be difficult. Only deducting a star because it isn't the “cutest” fan ever (if there were such a thing).
