it is doing a good job considering it is a cooler not a air conditioner.... the only issue we have with it is the water level marker is not working properly but easy to look in and see the level of water in the back of the unit ...so not enough issue to turn us against it...we could take it back to get another one but this one is working so good other wise not worth all that hassle....

The unit works very well. Walmart online had the best price by $80. The water fill is an inconvenient design and the fill level indicator is difficult to see. Definitely a 5 star other wise. Good for 10 X10 or 12X 12 bedroom or blowing directly on you in a larger room. Very quiet. You ca easily sleep with it.

I prefer this to an air conditioner because I don't like refrigerated air. This is louder and you need to not let the water get stale. During the heat wave I turned it on in my bedroom a few hours before bedtime, then my room was nice and cool at bedtime and I turned it off to sleep. I also use just the fan sometimes.

I bought this air cooler not knowing it was not an actual room conditioner. It came in a box and is not heavy at all I carried it from my porch to the bedroom without any effort. It doesn't need any ensembles or Window attachments I was so relieved that it only needs water and it rolls with the wheels.

We live in Arizona in a house that has very old A/C units. I have been looking for some type of relief during the summers. This Evap Air Cooler has worked great. It is what I understood an air cooler could do but I am so very glad that I tried it. I am considering buying a 2nd one! The only thing that I do not like is that the outer casing does not seem sturdy...like a cheaper plastic. I guess you get what you pay for. However, the air blows cool and the fan works great. Overall, I am very happy with it and would recommend an Evap Air Cooler to anyone in my same situation! Glad I bought it.

It does cool the area right around it. Make sure you do press the cool button and you do want to let air flow through it, otherwise it makes the room humid and icky. It showed up the very next day after I ordered it. The sound is no worse than a fan.

I have the cooler in my bedroom that is not a large room. It keeps the room at a comfortable level until it gets a little warm outside.I would recommend the the cooler for the months that aren't in the 80's and higher summer months. If you don't move around its comfortable and the air is much more cleaner in the bedroom now due to the fan on the unit that I use at night when I go to bed. It has helped me breath a lot better because it is so dry here in New Mexico.

I live in NYC . I looked through all of the reviews before buying to make sure I was getting the best for my money. With a baby on the way , things are tight. This product provides air cooling and cleansing . It works best with the windows open and the curtains closed as to not draw in too much sunlight. Adding ice to the water as suggested gives you a slight advantage but it truly is simply a rotating fan.

So it definitely blows out cool air, but even the HI setting is very weak. My bedroom's pretty small and it takes about an hour before the room is cooled off. If you aren't picky about being cooled off right away (you could just sit right in front of it if you're really hot!) and don't want to pay full price for an actual a/c unit, this is a good buy. Comes with remote and nice sleep setting to save energy.

I live in Tucson AZ, and bought this to cool my bedroom. I work nights and have to sleep during the day, so it gets pretty warm even with the A/C. It didn't change room temperature, just felt more humid. It does feel like cool air is coming out of it, but it has to be blowing DIRECTLY on you to make a difference
