Honeywell 5,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner, Adjustable Thermostat, 7 settings, Quiet, 150 sq ft Coverage

I like the Honeywell air conditioning window unit for my large bedroom.It keeps the room super cool! I will definitely purchase another one for my living room.

I haven't opened it yet. I'm storing it till summer and it's only January but I'm here to be a good one because Honey was the best.

it so far works perfect, very cold air and quiet, highly recommend

1st - It works great. Cools a bedroom from 94f to a comfortable 68 in about a half hour from install. No mechanical issues to date and have run it nearly 24-7 since install. 2nd - One complaint....the bugs , oh my god the bugs. The fan must spin at the ideal frequency to draw them (had a pc fan do it with hornets once) because these itty bitty bugs are swooping in like it is a wide open window when it is running. Yes the window is fully sealed , no there are no gaps , I have been a 206 unit building maintenance manager for almost 20 years not my 1st rodeo. The weight is manageable and even with a bad back and being 50 now tossing it in the window was easy enough. Get some clear gorilla tape to close up any pesky seams just a thought it always helps with these things. Other than attaching the top bar for the side panels (simple phillips screw driver) no tool or really even a clue are required to pop it in. So on one hand great little machine to beat the heat just be prepared to put up some fly strips and invest in a few swatters.

I liked the overall design, its compact size, and it functions well. However, like some other brands of small window ac units, this one has a bulge on the bottom on one side that prevents the unit from sitting level in the window sill. I consider this a major design flaw. GE units I've tried don't have that problem, so I'm sticking with them for now.

Bought because it said “quiet” right in the title description.. Seems to cool fine but I'd suggest taking “quiet” out of the description as it is not quiet.

Mine arrived yesterday the Honeywell 5,000 but and my room is a very small room (8x10) an this ac will NOT get cool and the thermostat keeps turning off and on !!! I thought Honeywell was supposed to sell good products that's why I bought it, but NEVER again !!!

The air conditioner has been loud and rattling and making squeaking noises from day one but I'd course after the back breaking installation and Walmart being 30 days I'm stuck with it ! It knocks , squeals and shifts squealing gears even louder . Awful and stuck with it !

I ordered two. One arrived with the box smashed and unusable. If you try to turn it on the fan sounds like it is hitting something metal everytime it spins. The second on was undamaged, but even in my daughter's small bedroom with the door closed, it cycles down all night long and leaves her still sweating at night.

Does not cool a 10x12 bedroom.
