When my freezer went out in my utility room I might not have known for several days if not for the Honeywell Water Alarm going off immediately. Very pleased with the way it operated.
Easy to install. I haven't had a leak yet and hope I never do but expect this will do the job
I had purchsed one before on a whim and atuck it by my washer wnd dryer a while back and forgot about. I came home to a completely unfamiliar but incessant beeping, and followed it with no idea what it was. It lead me straight to my garage where I had put this alarm. Earlier in the day I had returned a folding table to behind a cabinet where I usually keep it and didnt realize I bumped the valve making it drip. i found it, fixed it, and dried it long before it was a problem. Came back to buy a new one, because some of these aren't reusable. With the packaging I realized the one I already had was reusable, so now I have one by the washing machine and under the kitchen sink.
Product works well when I tested it and is as described.
The picture of product says Honeywell, as does it's description . The product I received does not say Honeywell anywhere on it, neither does it's packaging. The return policy for product says you can return it to the store, which I found out is not true .
I wish I would have read the reviews first! I had the same thing happen as someone else's review… they did not send the Honeywell brand as advertised, Some cheap off brand one instead, that doesn't beep when the batteries are getting low. That was the reason I chose the Honeywell brand, you wouldn't know your batteries were dead until your basement was flooded. Ughh.
