LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!! Simple, easy, WORKS! We have been using these for decades. Have purchased MANY over the years. Different homes. Nothing fancy. Off, on, A/C, Heat, up and down. Have Zero complaints about this product. So happy they still make them and so happy Walmart carries them AND at a fair price!!! MAKE SURE to change the batteries about once a year! If not, you will come home to an uncomfortable temperature. LOL.
I love this thermostate as it's just simple with up and down arrows. I'm not a Rocket Scientist and the programable thermostats are not for me. This is so easy to install and use. Nothing complicated!!
This product is basic. Perfect for senior citizens who are tired of trying to figure out all the advanced mubo jumbo there new state of the art thermostats are known for not to mention the high price. set switch to heat prees up or down arrow to set theperature thats it. Same goes for the air conditioner.
This model works great, is very reasonably priced, and most importantly it is immediately obvious how to work it! It is being used to replace an over-complex and very confusing Nest thermostat that we were sick of trying to deal with. Having a simple heat-cool switch we can keep the same temperature setting for both functions, without a forced temperature differential, or the Auto heat-cool function that keeps the furnace blower running day and night without warning.
It was all good. I enjoyed it easy to install dependable great french fries. It was all good. I enjoyed it easy to install dependable great for the price.
I took one star away because the screen does not light up so I have to use a flashlight at night to see the display. It will not light up with pushing the buttons either. Super easy to install and works perfect! I have a thermostat in the living room and it stays on par with the settings.
unit needs a battery to use. the display does not light up so I have to turn a light on at night or use the flashlight on my phone to see it. it has stopped a few times and the only way I could get it to run again was to pull the face off and put it back on. it's already installed so I can't return it otherwise I would.
I bought it to replace an older thermostat thinking it would help turn off the motor when it was done with the cycle. It didn't help at all. I didn't care if it was programable, but I wish I would've known it doesn't have a light. I like changing the temperature without turning on my hall light and blinding myself in the morning. But lesson learned and at least is wasn't very expensive. I can't tell a difference between my 10 year old thermostat and this one, other than the fact it isn't programable and it doesn't light up when you press buttons. I kinda regret this purchase tbh. I should've paid more for something better.
My issue is not with the thermostat. it's with the manager at Walmart in Franklin, LA. The day after my purchase, i went to bring the thermostat back cause the ac guy fix the one i already have. when i brought it back, i couldn't find my receipt. The manager said he can't do anything about it because he went and looked up my item and it shows that thermostat has Not been sold in awhile. i guess i supposedly stole it, that's definitely the vibe i had gotten, especially when he had another store employee standing beside him
I replace this every summer because they dont last. I dont know how to rewire a new one so I match the wires or just put the new face on the terminals since it must be done every year.
