Honeywell Wi-Fi Smart Thermostat

I love my new Honeywell Wi-Fi Smart Thermostat! It is sleek and modern. I can change the temperature or system (heat or A/C) from my phone. I can also set up a schedule from my phone. With living in Arkansas you just never know the weather; so it is nice to be able to change the settings from work. I almost purchased the Nest, but then saw this thermostat. I am very happy I went with this one instead. Very easy to install and very easy to use!

Best Thermostat Ever Owned (I have two for 2 Zones UP and DOWN) Use it with Alexa, When it gets cold at night from my bed. Change temps heat/cool from iPhone on my way home from work. Works great...never failed.

This product is overall a great product. The install was a bit cumbersome as there are multiple ways you could wire up your C-Wire; if you don't have one, and its not exactly clear which you should do but all of them will work. As for the user interface, I think it is very simple to use and the mobile interface (My Total Comfort) works great. The only downside is my thermostat has spotty WiFi connectivity. I read up on what it could be and again there is a multitude of potential issues and I've tried to troubleshoot but I have yet to find out why the wifi works 50% of the time but not the other 50%. I originally hooked up the wired configuration with AUX, O wires as I didn't have a W wire. I programmed the unit to "forced air" as I had done with a unit I had just installed in our main house that was working well. When I entered the room (in a casita) the next morning, the temp was 114. I went back through the manual and this configuration, containing a O and an AUX wire, is described for a "heat pump" system which I guess my casita is on. I reprogrammed it for "heat pump" and all is good. There is nothing about this in the "Quick Start" guide. The oil/gas vs electric prompt is also a little confusing on the initial setup. Yes, it works with Alexa, but it is tricky to get there and takes a little time. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This is a great product. Easy to install and connect. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I thought it learned our trends and adapted according, but it only does what it is told to do.
