I really liked this powdered butter because I can keep it in the pantry and I don't have to be buying fresh butter all the time. It tastes really good and it adds great flavor to the food. I used it to make waffles and they turned out with a richer flavor. Plus, it's super practical to have on hand whenever I need it.
So easy to make and delicious! I love that it has 3 grams of protein per serving and only 4 grams of carbs so you don't feel too guilty eating them! I made a batch this morning for my 3 boys and I and they ate them up, even asking for more! I will be adding this to my monthly grocery shopping list
I have never gotten powered buttermilk before, but decided to try it for a recipe since I rarely need to buy buttermilk and any liquid buttermilk would go bad before I could use it all. This had no abnormal tastes or outcomes when baking with it! I'd keep using this in the future. Additionally, one tub will last a long time!
I use this product to make ranch- it adds the buttermilk taste without changing the texture too much.
Hossier HillFarm Buttermilk Powder is a life saver!! Instead of purchasing a quart, when I only need a small quantity, I'm able to save money.
I can't use a full half gallon of buttermilk at one time. This is so convenient to make smaller portions.
I like how convenient this power buttermilk is. Since its a powder it doesn't have to be refrigerated. Easy to prepare, it will last for ever in the pantry (if its stores the right way).
To reconstitute it asks you to put actual buttermilk in it (which surprised me). I was hoping to not have to do that by purchasing the powdered buttermilk. It's less than you would use if you didn't have powder. I plan to use it for a ranch dressing mix. I'm hoping it will suit my purposes as I won't be reconstituting with actual buttermilk.
It never occurred to me that I could buy buttermilk powder, and had I known this was available I would have bought this much sooner than this initial purchase. The convenience of being able to keep this on my shelf for a couple of years is beyond helpful for how infrequent I need to use buttermilk. I mixed it as indicated, and everything dissolved into the water. It did take a little bit more stirring than I thought I would. It turned out to be a good replacement for the liquid stuff. It doesn't taste exactly the same or have the same thickness, but the flavor is there.
I followed the instructions and it came out very watery. I think if I mess with the ratios it might be ok but its way to watery following the instructions.
