HORMEL BLACK LABEL Bacon, Fully Cooked, Gluten Free, Shelf Stable, 7.56 oz Plastic Package

Thanks to Hormel, I recently got the opportunity to try HORMEL BLACK LABEL Fully Cooked Bacon for free through the BzzAgent sampling program. And after trying this product, I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by it, and I really like it! The bacon strips were very easy to prepare, and I decided to make a BLT sandwich with them. As I ate my sandwich, I found that the bacon strips were flavorful, not too greasy, and had the right amount of saltiness to them. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product!

I received the Hormel Black Label Fully Cooked Bacon from BzzAgent for free in exchange for my honest review. This bacon was better than I expected it to be. Fully cooked bacon is never as good as starting from raw bacon and cooking it fresh. However, fully cooked bacon is extremely convenient if you are in a hurry or don't have access to refrigeration. I ended up warming this slightly in the microwave and then finishing it in a pan so that it was crispy. Otherwise, coming directly out of the microwave it's not crispy. It was thinner than I would like but it tasted pretty good. I would never reach for this over fresh bacon but again if you need something that is fully cooked and not refrigerated then this is a pretty good option.

We heated the bacon on a Blackstone. It heats pretty fast. My kids said tastes just like bacon. Lol I said it is bacon. The kids friend like their bacon a little more crisp and it didn't much longer to make it crisp. My husband was not a huge fan but this bacon is thin and he prefers thicker bacon. Quick for the kids to make in a microwave or for BLTs. We had 6 of us and 2 packs was sufficient.

I'll be honest, I didn't have high expectations for pre-cooked/microwaved bacon, I probably wouldn't have bought it on my own without the free promo, but I was pleasantly surprised with this. It's better than a lot of 'fresh' bacon I've had at fast food places. It has the texture, the only thing it's missing is the flavor that comes from the grease of fresh bacon. BUT, that being said, no grease means no cleanup, and it didn't make my entire kitchen smell for the rest of the day. Definitely a good choice for a quick sandwich or omelet!

I received this product to review. I typically do not buy any bacon products that are already cooked. When trying this pre cooked bacon I was pleasantly surprised by the taste and crispness. This is an excellent product for quick easy breakfasts during the busy week. I am glad I tried this product as now I have a quicker less messy option during the week. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a quick breakfast option and not lose the quality taste of good bacon.

Convenience is key here with this product. No muss no fuss, and definitely no grease all over the kitchen. Taste is good and not too greasy, and firm but not crispy. Package says thick cut, but definitely would not consider it that. Made a great BLT sandwich with ease. This is great for quick recipes when you need more than bacon bits. I would consider buying it again.
