I used to get another named brand bacon until I tried this bacon. The slices are nice and thick. They taste absolutely delicious. It doesn’t have that too salty taste that some bacon has. It great to eat on its own , to make sandwiches , or bacon bits.
This is the most reasonably priced bacon and also the most delicious. It is not super thick cut, but medium cut and easy to fry up evenly. It crisps nicely and has a salty flavor that stands out as better than any other brand, including Oscar Meyer. It pairs well with grits, hash browns and to make breakfast sandwiches. I have paid a lot more for bacon that wasn't nearly as good. This is definitely the superior product if you purchase your bacon at Walmart.
This really is thick-cut; other brands say they are, but they're not. However, the slices are narrower than the thinner sliced. The taste is very good. Cut in half, they are easier to turn over in the skillet to fry on low heat. Remove to drain on paper towel right before you think it will be done. Strips continue to cook a bit longer while still hot. There are 9 slices. Drain off most of liquid fat before cooking eggs in same skillet. Makes lots of melted grease - good in cornbread and older cookie recipes that call for lard.
best bacon 🥓🤤. cook in oven with aluminum lined pan and at 400f for 25-28 min. check often after the 25 mark. it burns quick after that but if u get used the right timing....u will have perfect crispy bacon like no other. other ovens may vary may need to adjust
I always purchase this bacon. It seems to have more meat than others I have tried. I always come back to this one when I think I will try another one. So far, none match the quality.
The quality of this item, like many other things nowadays has gone downhill considerably. When the majority of the bacon slice is thin enough to see through and it falls apart when trying to remove it from the package, it should NOT be called "thick cut" Just because a half inch of one end of the bacon is thick, that does not mean it should be called "thick cut" I cannot use this bacon for the intended use due to the thinness of it. Now I have to spend more money going to the butcher to get what I need. not very cost effective.
This bacon says thick what we got was almost paper thin, too salty to eat and all fat. We purchased this bacon to save 2 bucks. I wish I would have spent the two bucks.
This was the toughest most tasteless, bacon I’ve ever eaten, no smoked flavor no salt absolutely disgusting. Like the pig must have been 100 years old. I can’t describe it. Just yuck!!
this bacon is horrible. sadly the price was right, however the quality, that's really ashame that much fat in this bacon. i will use it to season food. cabbages , baked beans where grease is needed i.e. fry a good egg but no way will this go with breakfast. Wright bacon is my back up side plan.
I have started looking more into the foods I eat and this one bothers me. I thought the "Black Label" made it more "premium" but... This has the questionable ingredients and sourcing of most. It really bothers me that things are allowed in our food that other countries ban. To be honest, I always LOVED this bacon. I thought I was getting good bacon that I could eat every now and then as a treat.
