Wasn't sure how to answer the question fat one or five stars. There is the normal amount of fat on these strips of bacon. Handy to have if you're in a hurry, my son actully prefers this more than regular bacon and not just because it's faster to cook.
this is my favorite go to for bacon! its the easiest and fastest way to enjoy restaurant quality bacon at home without the work and messy greasy clean up. Hormel takes 4 slices of bacon set on top a thick pad and seals them in a self ventilating pouch, you just take a package and place it in your microwave set it to 2 minutes 15 seconds(that is what my microwave required for my preferred doneness, other cooking times vary by microwave) and when its finished you get four perfectly cooked bacon slices, all the grease made during the cooking process is absorbed into the thick pad previously mentioned, keeping your microwave free of grease. you just take the pouch out of the microwave and place it where you prefer and then carefully open the pouch at the corner take your bacon out and plate it and then throw everything else in the trash bin and voila you now have 4 slices of seriously delicious perfectly cooked bacon!!!!
these are good sized thick bacon slices. it is so funny they mention grits as a suggestion. i actually eat this bacon with butter grits and eggs. i love the individual messless microwave packs and that it is easy to get it crisp and evenly cook. i eat a couple of pieces from a cooked pack and use the leftover cooked crispy bacon in salads, on baked potatoes or in cooking. even though it is more expensive by pack but it is cheaper per ounce. making it the best value microwave bacon. they have a suggestion of including beef. i am going to add it beef stroganoff will be delicious. the individual packs make it so you can freeze a couple of packs for later use.
When you don't want the mess or the hassle of making bacon in the fry pan or oven, especially if you're just wanting a few strips, Hormel's Black Label Microwave Bacon is a delicious alternative. You can cook it up pretty much however crisp you prefer, all the way up to the most crisp, without losing any flavor or burning it. It's great with eggs, waffles and for sandwiches, or chopped up in salads. Let's not forget, just for snacking on. You'll use far less paper towels in the process too! Just a couple of paper towels or so should do it for an average serving. Try that after cooking bacon in the fry pan! I hope I made you hungry. A little tip my husband and I have learned, there is a big difference in precooked microwave bacon quality and taste. This is one time it's not worth saving that extra fifty or seventy-five cents over the store brand, trust me! Go with the Hormel Black Label. If you have a family or eat a lot of bacon, they make a larger size that's a much bigger bang for your buck usually too. Walmart typically has a good price on it, but obviously check around your area. Check for coupons as well. Now, put this on your shopping list so you don't forget. Enjoy!
I buy this microwave ready bacon form time to time because I live alone and when I want bacon, I don't want to cook an entire pack. This comes with 4 pieces per bag, but I would recommend to the company to put 5 pieces, as this seems more fair price wise and more of a hearty meal side. This product cooks well in the microwave. I add a few more seconds for crispier bacon, or it cooks just as good with the regular timing. Thanks!!!
Hormel Black Label Microwave bacon is delicious! This is the only brand of bacon I will eat. I also enjoy the non-microwaveable version, but the cleanup is so easy when using the microwave. The bacon has great flavor and doesn't have a lot of fat, which is what I want. It crisps up in the microwave, so you're not left with a soggy piece of fatty bacon strips. I highly recommend this product!
This is so easy and convenient to make, it's real bacon , taste is great, no mess , no pan to clean. I like my bacon crispy, so I add 30 seconds more to the suggested heating time. And it comes out perfect. I have gotten three other people to buy this , and they love it . This is my go to bacon from now on. Try it you'll love it too.
BUY THIS BACON! But don't micro it. I just found out via trial and error that it's the least fatty bacon without breaking my bank account that I can find. You can also use the microwave cloths to absorb the fat after you're done frying. They fry evenly.
I like yhe convenience of this item. Takes a couple of time to get the cooking process done. If frozen with 1200 watt 3 minutes. Not frozen 3 minutes at power 9 with 1200 watts. The taste is ok not like the thick cut oven baked or fried on stove. I will buy again.
9 times out of 10 this item this is out of stock for delivery but they never tell you at the time you order this product you only find out when rest of order arrives to my home and i become upset so i eventually canceled my delivery accounti just rejoined today and a item i ordereda belt was out of stock but at the time of ordering it said belt was availableso i am going to cancel my delivery acct again
