Great topper for hot dogs sausages burgers and fries. It's so versatile you can do basically anything with it . Even you can add it to nachos instead of going through the trouble of browning beef you can simply include the no bean chili as a topper with shredded cheese lettuce and tomato's.
Hormel chili no beans is a powerhouse in the pantry. It's my go to main ingredient for office pot lucks (cheesy chili dip anyone?) and has all around awesome flavor. It's incredibly versatile and I look forward to finding new ways to use it. I was able to try this for free but the opinion is my own
This chili is amazing. It's perfect as a dip, as a hotdog chili or even just to use for sloppy joes. This made one of the BEST chili dogs I've ever had in my life. Chili dogs are always a super big craving, usually multiple times a year so I was very very satisfied with this product.
I had the opportunity to sample HORMEL® Chili Less Sodium No Beans at the same time as HORMEL® Chili No Beans and HORMEL® Chili No Bean with American Cheese. Of the three products, I found that this product tasted nearly the same as the less sodium version. The chili had a good flavor, but a thicker texture that appears to come from Textured Soy Flour, Oatmeal, and Corn Flour. This makes a thick mouthfeel when eaten alone, but helps the chili hold together when used as a topping. I sampled the chili both by itself and on a cheese coney, and because of the texture, it worked best on the coney dog. I did not enjoy the texture of the chili when eaten alone, and would select a different chili for that purpose.
This chili has good flavor, but for me the texture is off. I prefer beans in my chili so maybe that's why. I think this chili is best for topping chili burgers or hotdogs. Overall, the flavor is there but the texture is off for me. I received this product as a free sample in exchange for my honest review.
As far as canned chilli goes . This was pretty good. It had a good tastes and the amount in the can went a long way. We had a bunch of people over and the chili was an option for fries or a hot dog and a lot of people chose both. I would definitely recommend this product
This is a great chili option for those that don't like beans. It's Hormel Chili in a can just without the beans. As I prefer my chili with beans, I think its great for using as a topping of dishes that already have beans in them like nachos that you would just want to add some chili to for added flavor.
I recently tried Hormel Chili with no beans. My husband was wanting chili cheese hotdogs but he hates beans so this was the perfect, quick chili for him to heat up in a pot for his hot dog. The taste was good, but we both agreed that a little bit of heat (spiciness) would make it even better. We deducted one star just for that. Otherwise this is super convenient and a quick option. I would buy it again for my husband since he doesn't eat beans.
Hormel Chili No Beans has an unfortunate texture, it's the kind of chili you expect to come out of a fuel station's free topping dispenser with your purchase of a hot dog. You need to be willing to do some heavy doctoring or experimenting to make this part of a real meal.
I was not impressed with this variety. The consistency was similar to Tomato Soup.As well as the flavor. This is not one that I would recommend or try again in the future. I try to as is also try it in a pot of chili and it didn't add any special flavoring to the chili was highly disappointed in this one
