HOSTESS Devil's Food ZINGERS Single Serve, 3 Count, 3.81 oz

I haven't had one of these in decades and I had a teste for them today. the box is dust free and free of any dents or smudges, which leads me to believe they are fresh. When opened the box, they are individually wrapped and fresh. The cake is moist and so is the chocolate.

Zingers have always been my favorite hostess snack, and it seems to be one of the only hostess snacks that haven't gotten worse in quality over the years. The combination of chocolate frosting, chocolate cake, and cream filling have always won me over. I just wish my local walmart carried the boxes of devil's food zingers instead of having to buy the 3-pack that can get a little high in price.

Tried the Chocolate Zingers after not having them for awhile and they were still good to me. I bought 2 packages so they're perfect for my coffee break and lunch.

So, I had to try it for myself because the reviews were saying they were terrible. They indeed are very dry. The icing tops are hard and the body of it is filled with cream, but is STILL dry. The flavor is okay. 3/5, but if the icing was actually softer and sweet, it'd be better.

What the heck happened to hostess there cakes used to be so yummy this one was disgusting the frosting on it was so hard The cake itself was stale I've never seen hostess do that before with the cakes very disappointing I tried to get a refund on it but they said I had to return it I don't think they want me picking through my garbage and getting it for them That's gross

DID NOT LIKE THE CAKE TASTE. BOUGHT AS A TRIAL TO SEE IF I LIKED, BUT DID NOT. AS A NOTE: I LOVE DRAKES DEVIL DOGS (8 COUNT) BUT FOR TE HE LAST 2 MONTHS OR MORE, THE WALMART YAPHANK STORE WHERE I ORDER FROM CONSTANTLY HAS NO STOCK ON THE DEVIL DOGS. CONSTANTLY STATING "OUT OF STOCK". I WANT TO ORDER THE DEVIL DOGS. VERY ANNOYED.

We ordered this 3 different times online and every time it was expired. I even talked to someone in Walmart Customer Service on the website about letting the store know that they are selling expired products after the second purchase and they told me they would. We ordered maybe a week after that and it was still expired. Each time they were hard and one of the times there was mold growing on them. I ended up going shopping in store and checked to see if they had finally removed it after around 2 weeks of them telling me they'd let the store know. The expired Zingers were still sitting on the shelf. I ended up taking the whole thing of expired Zingers to someone and told them what was happening with them and they said they would get rid of them. I just hope that they actually did this time because we refused to buy them since then. I don't want people getting sick because Walmart is too lazy to remove expired food from their shelves.

Package must have been opened or was unsealed. Contents were dry and crumbly, spilling out side of package. Frosting was even a different color from what it should be. I don't know if the shoppers know how to shop or if ordering for pickup is used to try and get rid of dead/expired stuff and hope no one notices. The only thing consistent about Walmart is the petrie dish quality of their food!

These are so stale I think they were left over from last Halloween (even though they were just ordered from Walmart delivery). They are dry, the filling couldn't remedy how dry the bar is, and the chocolate icing was so old it had changed colors. Don't waste your money, you would end up some day wanted one of them for a nice treat and they would disappoint you dramatically!!

Received today however expiration date was August 18th! Attempted to eat but frosting was hardened and cake stale! Please ask associates to check expiration dates…..
