Hostess Ding Dongs Snack Cakes, Chocolate Flavor, 20.31 oz Box (16 Count)

These are still pretty tasty, but they and other Hostess food products taste different and taste like they've been made extra superficially. An array of food brands and companies have been changing their ingredients and things don't taste as good. Still it's a good price for 16 ding-dongs.

This product use to be so good, now there is only like a dot of cream inside,so I bought it again thinking maybe it was just that one box of cakes,but same thing in the new box,nothing more than a dot of inside cream,so disappointing.will not be buying these again.

Yuck! These aren't the delicious traditional Ding Dongs of the past. Firstly, they do not look like the pictures on the box. They have a paper think layer of bland chocolate on the outside, cheap bland tasting cake layer, and a horribly synthetic tasting white filling. Second, they lack a decent sweetness overall. I did not lose my sense of taste or smell during the pandemic, so that isn't informing my review. Bottom line: Subpar, and in my opinion, a big waste of money. Poorly done Hostess.

these ding dongs are made different these days. the chocolate coating doesn't even fully coat the entire snak cake the cake part shows right through like nothing. these is the 3rd package i got and the same way. these companies are becoming more and more cheap makes me not want to ourchade anymore and my box was opened when i received it

I buy these all the time. My 9 yr old loves them, but this time they were nasty. I ate one that looked funny, tasted dry and stale. I decided to check the expiration and they expired the day before we got our order. expired Jan 8, 2026. That means theyve been sitting on the shelf for a long long time. Took 2 out to inspect, they are dry, nasty and the chocolate is developing that dry grayish white film that old chocolate develops when its very old. Gross!

The box has been opened and retaped in the store. Does not feel safe to eat

I ordered this through grocery pick up, they clearly didn't take the time or care to check the product out. The box was smashed up a bit and opened. Upon receiving it I counted the cakes it was one short and 1 smashed and finally an empty package like someone had eaten it and stuck it back in the box! Check your items folks are getting sloppy!

Ding Dongs were fresh, expiration date one month from today. However, either the shopper or delivery driver totally mangled the box, ripped it open, and STOLE 4 Ding Dongs! Walmart refunded, but they should not have thieves delivering FOOD!
