Hostess Twinkies And Ding Dongs Variety Pack (1.31oz / 32pk)

Memories of my lunches from grade school! It was such a great day when one of these was packed in my lunch, it didn't happen a lot, but when it did, you couldn't wipe the smile of my face, and I'm not sharing!!!

I bought these for my granddaughters for their school lunches. I had to try one of each since it's been decades since I've tasted them, so sad. The twinkies are not the same and neither is the ding dongs. They're not filled with frosting as much as they used to be, and they're smaller than they used to be.

I never really cared for Twinkies until I ordered the “Scary Cakes” set of Chocolate Twinkies and Chocolate Cupcakes from Sam's, and I really enjoyed those. They were a limited edition for Halloween, however, and after I received my first order, I tried to order more, but the message always said that they could not deliver them~~even though the first order had been shipped and delivered to me!! This box of regular Twinkies and “Ding Dongs,” which I think used to be called King Dons when I was younger, were so much smaller than they used to be and just not as good-tasting!! I really liked the “Scary Cakes” Halloween edition of Chocolate Twinkies and the Chocolate Cupcakes, but these regular Twinkies and Ding Dongs just were not what I wanted. I did not like the taste of the plain Twinkies other than the cream filling. The Ding Dongs were okay, but just not the same as they used to be. PLEASE BRING BACK THE CHOCOLATE TWINKIES AND CHOCOLATE CUPCAKES SET UNDER A DIFFERENT NAME THAN “SCARY CAKES” FOR HALLOWEEN SO THEY WILL BE AVAILABLE ALL YEAR AROUND AND NOT JUST FOR A LIMITED TIME AT HALLOWEEN!!! ALSO, PLEASE MAKE THEM AVAILABLE FOR SHIPPING!!! UNFORTUNATELY, I HAVE NO WAY TO GET TO YOUR STORE ANYMORE, SO I CANNOT DO PICK-UP ORDERS ANYMORE, SO I CAN ONLY PURCHASE ITEMS THAT YOU SHIP AT THIS POINT. YOU NEED TO SHIP MORE OF YOUR PRODUCTS SO THAT ALL OF YOUR CUSTOMERS HAVE ACCESS TO MORE OF YOUR PRODUCTS~~ESPECIALLY YOUR BAKERY ITEMS LIKE MUFFINS AND PUMPKIN CREAM CHEESE CAKE ROLLS!!!

This came packaged in a box within box within a box, The outer boxes were in perfect condition. The ding dong portion of the box was terribly crushed causing mashed ding dongs. Since they were the only box of 3 that were crushed it must have been shipped that way.

I'm thinking that the rejects make it into the bulk pack because it is harder to return. Many were missing chocolate coating, dry, and lacking cream filling. Ding dongs were tastier than the Twinkie. About 3 Twinkies had a heavy corn meal flavor. Definitely got a reject pack...

Not the taste you remember when you were a kid. When Hostess was sold a number of years back they either didn't give the original recipes of any of their bakery items or else the new owners are not using the same quality ingredients. The taste of all the Hostess products is "off". They even have a "tinge" of possibly a chemical taste. They aren't really bad, but they aren't really good either. Sure do miss the total perfection of the original Hostess goodies!

When we received this item it was close to the expiration date of 9/19/19. product was not fresh, have purchased item in store before with no problem of course I was able to see the expiration date on the box before purchase. probable will not order on line in future.

Once the king of Snackcakes. Now? It's like the embarrassing cousin. They're a third the size of what they once were and possess a quarter of the cream filling. You can taste the synthetic ingredients better than the actual ones. Words cannot express how disappointing it was to try these again after so many years.

The twinkies in this box taste horrible. Save your money and do not purchase. I've purchased this combination before and the twinkies were fresh. I can't say the same with this purchase. The twinkies tasted as though something was missing. A waste of money for me.

Bought this before with good luck. Love this product. Just very recently purchased again but did the pick up routine. Got home, sadly opened the box before noticing expiration date. It was two weeks away. Since it is just the wife and I with 32 sweet treats we ended up giving a lot away. I'll check products inside the store from now on before I purchase blindly. I've been a member at Sams for quite a while and never experienced this before. It pays these days to look before purchase.
