Wait 5 minutes before second lid full gets hot easily . Kids love it the ship just throws out the popcorn so be ready but it's delicious and worth it . Get butter flavoring too
You can only make 1 small batch. It's to hot after that. Maybe good for an apartment with 1 person. Looks great. Small size. Not good for more than 1 person.
When I first saw it I was doubtful! I had one years ago and it was monstrous compared to this jewel.
I have a West Bend Poppery II and wanted to buy another hot air popper as ours has been in service for over 12 years - when I do make popcorn it's usually 2 times (back-to-back) in the popper! It's been a WONDERFUL machine but I was looking for a suitable back-up - THIS IS NOT IT! First of all when turned on for the first use it smelled like it was on fire.... then it didn't produce the fluffy popcorn as I had the week before (same popcorn) also tried to make the second batch as I have always done with my trusty friend (Poppery II) but the machine turned off (blown fuse?) - after waiting a while the air popper still wouldn't turn on and I had flipped the ON/OFF switch a few times..... tasted the popcorn it did pop was too tough! Threw EVERYTHING away - popcorn
My biggest complaint is that while the instructions state 2/3 cup of kernels it really means 2/3 of the measuring instrument provided which ends up being like a tablespoon and a half. The popcorn popper is very tiny and it takes 15 minutes to cool down between batches. I bought it for my classroom because I thought 2/3 of a cup of kernels would be plenty for all students but it's a small amount and the cool down period between batches means I cannot use it for my students. The popcorn is also chewy and gross. I will be returning.
It did not work even one month.
The pooped corn will land sometimes on the floor and about 1/2 of the kernels are thrown out in the bowl or who knows where? This is a piece of junk.
First time using the popper it burned up. It was through a third party vendor. I had to email them and still have had no reply on how to return and get refund 😡
This thing flings the popcorn all over the place. It made a total mess. I want my money back.
