Beware of metal splinter flakes from the coating
I was excited at first to get this product and even more excited when it said it was surgical steel. However, when I opened the package and unscrewed one of the balls on just ONE of the earrings, I noticed the color started to look like it was flaking. So i put that aside and just decided to use the other for now. A week after having it in my ear, i noticed the color looked to be be fading, except, it wasnt fading. There was a thin painted metal coating on the outside of the "surgical steel" which was now comjng off and lodging in my earlobes, like little metal splinters. So no, i DO NOT recommend this product. and if i wasnt so incredibly broke already, id be suing the company that made these. Lucky enough though, i had great health insurance and the doc says they got it all out. Avoid this product.
