This is a speedy little R/C Monster Truck, and my 7 year old granddaughter had no problem navigating it around my house. The truck body is flimsy plastic, so I hope it holds up to many hours of play. I bought rechargeable batteries for it (5 AAA) to cut down on waste and expense.
Putting away for Christmas,, great price
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently got the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks HW Transforming Rhinomite RC and let me just say it's been a total hit with my boy! He's completely obsessed with monster trucks, and this one takes the cake. 💥 It's big (1:12 scale), super tough-looking, and the fact that it transforms into a booster launcher makes it even cooler. My son especially loves driving it around at the park not just on the flat paths, but across grass, bumpy sidewalks, and even playground mulch, and it still works great! We've taken it over dirt trails too and it holds up really well. 👏 He loves doing that 360-wheelie spin trick, and every time it flips up, he laughs like crazy. The remote is pretty easy for him to handle (he's 6), and it has a fun “tank-style” control that makes it feel like a real destructive machine. The Dynamite Mode is genius, he connects his little 1:64 Hot Wheels monster trucks and blasts them across the park using Rhinomite as a launcher. It's honestly such a fun toy that combines RC play and Hot Wheels stunts in one.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pretty cool little monster truck. Colors and design are eye catching and very well detailed. Tires have rubber tread around plastic wheels. Five triple a batteries are required to operate truck and remote. Wheel alignment is available if it doesn't drive correctly
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a fun remote control car. My son loved it and played with it for a while. It was easy enough for him but when he wanted to challenge himself he was able to. The amount of batteries it uses is a lot but hopefully they keep for a while.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great remote control for younger kids. Easy to use and operate. Batteries lasted a long time allowing lots of play before having to replace them. Durable and held up when accidentally ran into walls and trees.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Son was very excited about receiving this toy. It was definitely a little hard to kinda like open up the back of the remote control. I wish that it came with batteries which would be so nice and the truck was very big and bigger than I thought.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This RC takes AAA batteries. I wish you could charge it or it took bigger batteries because I didn't feel the batteries lasted long enough. We didn't get a chance to try the grip tires because it has been super cold, and there is too much snow on the ground in Northern Missouri! Overall this RC vehicle is fun for younger kids, but I wouldn't purchase it for a kid over 6. It's got a very basic controller, and it doesn't do any neat tricks so older kids are going to get bored. My 5 year old plays with it some. It was only his first choice for the first 3 days that we had it. When the batteries are fresh, it does move along really well. The design is fantastic- it does look super cool. It looks like a rhino looking at you from the front! The controller needs some improvement. Most kids that are in the age group to play with this still drop things a lot. It needs some rubber on it to protect it from being broken when dropped. The color scheme on it is great, And I think this is definitely a good RC vehicle to start with as an affordable option.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This RC car is super fun and exciting. The bright colors instantly excited my son when he saw the package. The remote is even shaped like a tire which is so cool! The tires have extra grip to them so you can actually drive on any surface whether it is carpet or hardwood! The kids had a blast making ramps for the car to launch off of! I do wish this RC car was rechargeable though because we have already blown through a full set of batteries in the car. The shell of the car is made of very thin plastic, I thought for sure it would crack easily but so far it seems to have held up just fine with all of the crashes!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is cool looking! The grippers give it that extra traction that you need for gravel. I didn’t expect it to go very fast but maaaaaannnn on the concrete it can zoom! My boys liked it enough that they were fighting over it. One negative is that the body of the rhino is made from thin plastic so it won’t last very long.
