Hot Wheels ID Batmobile Die-Cast Car

This is our first Hot Wheels id vehicle, but so far, my kids love it! I was a little frustrated at first because I could not get the app to scan the car. I thought it was supposed to use the camera, but it wasn't opening it or doing anything else either. My mom and I stopped at an in store display and scanned an offer for a free digital vehicle and I realized that it didn't need the camera and that the reason it wasn't working was that my case was interfering. Once I removed my case, it worked perfectly. My boys love that they can play with a digital version of their Hot Wheel on the app. We don't have any of the track yet, but it looks like it will make these cars even more fun to play with. I like that the app has a connection to physical toys so that they still want to have some hands on play with real toys instead of just staring at a screen forever. When I received the toy I loved the packaging and design of the toy first, immediately look for the instructions and download the app, my son loved all the dynamics of the game as well as the car in physical, really very good toy, good digital dynamics that it makes children develop more creativity and digital agility. I got this for my son who loves to play with hot wheels all the time. It's very stylish and can work on the normal hot wheels tracks, but you can also download the hot wheels app for free and scan your car to use with the app! It was very simple to set up and you can race your car in virtual races on the app! It looks like you can also buy special tracks that go with this product to use with the app, but we don't have those. This seems like a great addition to the hot wheels family, and we will definitely be buying more to expand our collection. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Processing and delivery was very quick, however there is very sight damnage to the bottom left corner of the case. Not enugh for me to seek refund/repacement but is it noticeable

Didn't realize this was part of the whole "id" Hot Wheels system, which we don't have yet, so obviously we couldn't use this to its whole potential. This car has put our race track and car collection back into play. It has the perks of being a new technology spin, but it also plays well on the motorized tracks. While it's heavy, it almost always stays on our track with 3 loops. The play was extended and added a bit more fun by pairing it with the Hotwheels ID app. Although the app has that addictive, freemium model design to it, we were able to keep they the kids from spending too much time on it. The Arkham Knight Batmobile is a great toy for kids who love racing games! It's pretty nice you get to have a physical Hot Wheels car and have it in your game. Love the virtual and real world play! I would've given it 5 stars except you must purchase a separate Race Portal if your device doesn't have NFC. My sons iPad Air 2 was unable to scan and it's not that old. My 7 1/2 year old thought the car was pretty cool. We were able to download the app without any issues, but once we scanned the car into the app (which took a few minutes to get just right), the car just got added to his pile of Hot Wheels cars. We don't have the track so the car itself wasn't very exciting. He enjoys playing the app, but both the app and car would definitely be better with the track. We would have loved to fully test the hot wheels ID out but had no idea we needed the scan pad to actually be able to fully integrate it and scan it to use with the hot wheels ID app, we would have surmised an iPad if anything could function just with the car. Nowhere on the packaging does it specify you need more than the car and a tablet. My son loves hot wheels and collects so he was so excited to get this new batmobilet. Then when he found out you could connect it to your phone and play he was ecstatic!
