Hot Wheels ID Rodger Dodger Die-Cast Car

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this car for my 8 year old son, hoping to bring some real toys back into his life as he loves video games . He loves that he can play with his real car and register his races online integrating both toys and technology. The only problem u have with this hour wheels caris that the portals and accessory kits are quite pricey.

My son loved using this car. After we received it, we immediately downloaded the app. He was so excited to use it however we don't have the rest of the I'd track set so he wanted to buy it. Getting the app working took a little, but my son loves playing with it with and without the app. The car is sturdy, feels like it will last awhile. Probably best if you have more of the set. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I really like what hot wheels is doing with putting the cars on an app that is easy to use and navigate through. It's easy to connect the car to the game app and my daughter loved driving her car on the app. Only complaint is if you don't have a track and portal it will limit what you can do on the app than the apps becomes boring quickily doing easy races with nothing else to do. The Rodger Dodger has great graphics and really cool tires. We had not played the Hot Wheels ID game prior to having the Rodger Dodger. The game is pretty simple and for younger kids. We do not have the track kit or portal so we are just using the upgraded car to race in City Mode and blow away the competition! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

We received the Rodger Dodger id Hotwheel and downloaded the app right away on to an iPad. My son loved playing the app, but we were unable to connect the car to the game. We then downloaded the app to an iPhone with the same results. In all my son enjoyed the app and liked the hot wheels car, but getting the two connected has proved difficult. We couldn't get excited about this. It's just a hot wheels car that can be scanned to unlock something on a digital game that my child has no interest in so the car is still in the box since we received it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
