My grandson is thrilled with this Hot Wheels as it matches his uncles care.
Great way for the child to use the hot wheels in new ways. Provides play even when they do not have the car with them. It also allows the child to use science to increase speed, and see how changes in the track impact the vehicles speed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Would definitely recommend to anyone!! She collects cars and this is a great addition to her collection. She loves the old cars also. Wants one when she gets older. She loves the older cars also. So this was great! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
My son loves his Hot Wheels ID 18 CAMARO SS - 21A. He plays with it for hours making engine sounds and pretends he is racing. The graphics are cool looking on it and it is very quality made. I definitely recommend. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I thought that this was an old school hot wheels car, but it wasn't...we needed a base to get it working on a free app. I bought the base, but still haven't figured out how it works. Regardless he is using the cars the old fashioned way! I'll call you guys for some help with the base after the holidays. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We were selected to review the Hot Wheels ID 18 Camaro SS-21A in exchange for our honest opinion. First off the Camaro is a very attractive car. My 11 year old son was very impressed by the detail of the car. The finish looked nicer than a traditional Hot Wheels car. On top of that he was thrilled with being able to combine this physical toy with the online app. He has spent quite a bit of time playing online which will expand the interest in this toy. This is fine if you just want to play with the car, but you can't scan it with an IPad; you need a phone and most little boys don't have their own phone. Playing the game was fun but nothing special. It was just like the other car games on the IPad. To get the most enjoyment from playing with these cars, you need the track, but we don't have one of those. This is a really cool car, but either there should be alternate ways to add cars (QR or manual codes) or it needs to be more clearly labeled that you need NFC to be able to use this feature. I don't know a lot of kids devices (especially younger kids) that have NFC. I realize the portal will allow you to bridge that gap, but again, that should be prominent on the packaging. The app itself can be a little confusing as you need the portal to unlock some features as well. Highly recommend getting portal if you purchase one of these cars. Snazzy looking Camaro! Otherwise this car is just a regular good old Hot Wheel. We love the look of the car, the rich color and the packaging but did not see anything extra that stood out to us. My daughter wants a Camaro now when she turns 16. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
While it's a nice car, it's just another Hot Wheels that the kids play with. They do like the racing game that goes with it but they don't love it. They would rather just play with the car on their race track instead. Would be great for those who really love Hot Wheels or avid collectors. We had a hard time getting the car to scan so we could play with it on the game. I received this product for free in exchange for an honest review. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
