We bought this for our grandson last year as a Christmas gift. It was too big for his room at home, so we kept it at our house in his toy room. The track doesn't break down. It has to stay together, so you do need space to keep it. It's also on loud side when running. But, He still plays with this track almost every time he visits. Wish I could find another toy he would like over such a long period of time. Most toys he gets. He plays with them a few months, then moves on to the next.
When you have excited children, they don't want to wait but we were pleased that it was easy to put together in minutes. We played with the car that came in the bundle and we also added a few more to the collection, as well as using the cars we have bought in the past and they are compatible. Racing and crashing with 2 and 3 cars on the track at the same time, hours of fun have been had with my children who are 8,5,3. A great addition to the Hot Wheels collection.
Really great toy that kids have had lot of fun playing. The track/loop is really easy to set up, just clicking in place. The build feels really secure with no lips or bumps in the joins. Can add to track which is nice if want to expand. The cars can go in opposite directions if you wanna see some crashes. One side is manual for propelling the cars, you just punch down on the button. The other side is propelled electronically when the cars pass through gate. It's fast and furious and my boys really loved playing with it. Doesn't take up lots of room as its more high than long. Battery life is good and there's a neat storage for cars on top of the track. Lots of fun and great features. Really cool game.
Assembly took adult brainpower. It definitely has favorite cars that work with it. I was surprised at how powerful this thing is. One time a car came flying out and hit my son in the head at an accelerated speed! He walked it off but I was afraid it could have been worse.
Works well but overpriced for what it is. I got on sale for $40 and even that's pushing it. Needs specific cars to work properly or they just fall off so I recommend purchasing those along with this item bc it only comes with one. Pretty sturdy though - I can pick it up by the top and carry it to another room. Overall I recommend but don't expect the world from it.
Very functional and works very well. Impossible to disassemble without breaking pieces. Threw it away after moving. Get ready to go through batteries like crazy. After about 1 month, I think we spent about 25 dollars on D batteries. The track was less than 30.
It is too difficult to launch the cars into the track for both kids and adults. You really have to slam it hard which not all kids are able to do. Also, not all hot wheels cars work with the track. It needs to be a light car for it to work correctly.
The loop is pretty cool and big; that being said the toy is poor quality. Luckily the launching level has not snapped- yet, but only in part because my son gets frustrated that most of his cars dont make it half-way. They should've added some side barriers to prevent the cars from flying off too. Poor quality and design definitely would not recommend.
I bought this product for Christmas gift, so dissapointed when it came. The box was open and the toy was clearly used by someone else. Walmart has to say when they sell products that has been used before so people can decide if they want to buy it or not. I'm gone return it and for sure i'll try to avoid buying at Walmart
Easy set up. Looks so cool! My nephew loved it for the 10 minutes that it was working for. I thought maybe I had bad batteries. So I changed them. Still will not turn on. Did some more reading online. Found that this is quite the common problem. I was hoping to have a lot more fun crashing cars with my nephew. Now he is disappointed and Im mad that we cant get simple quality in a toy.
