HOTPOINT® 3.8 cu. ft. Capacity Top Load washer model HTW240ASKWS with Stainless steel basket

We have only used this 3 times it seems to wash the clothes well. It did seem to get off the program twice which meant we had to unplug from the wall, wait a few minutes then plug in again and push the button for fill.

This thing was ok for about a year. I do a ton of laundry. It started not washing as well. I went to washing smaller loads with a deep rinse every wash. I felt like it was still not washing well and hasnt for awhile even though it runs? Its light weight so it dances very easily with blankets etc. I am a massage therapist. I wash tons of laundry. Im hard on a washer but this machine is for low laundry homes. And people that dont get dirty. My husbands work clothes have had to be washed 2ce since the start. It just is not a work horse what so ever. If you are single and work at a desk...maybe this is for you. Anyone else NO. 👎 All that being said ive had issues with the stupid lid lock just like every other newer washer. New washers in general are made to be replaced. Its no secret. It was cheap and an emergency when I made the purchase. It has not had any rusting or corrosion issues and a regular household might not have any issues. The last straw is the agitator motor is not functioning properly and sometimes not working at all. This is a huge problem when you depend on it for work. It does drain well. The agitator clean out is easy to access. The knobs vs electronics is good and ive had no issues there. One last thought I feel like this machine is taller and slightly thinner? Sitting next to my old Amana (which was a great machine btw but i havent been able to find one locally) that was obvious. I think that design may be why it gets off balance so easy ? overall I do not care for this machine. It lasted me 3 and a half years. Thats not a quality machine under any circumstances.

Worked great until the warranty ran out Now it's so noisy it will wake the dead

Bought this washer in June 2021. Washer not filling to desired water level before the cycle starts. Don't know if product is under warranty or not.

No matter the load size it only fills up about 1/4 of the way. I will never buy another one because the warranty expired and cost more to fix it than buy a new one.

I will never again order from this place again. I ordered what was suppose to be a brand new washing machine but instead i gpt a washing machine that did not properly work then the company acted like i should put it in my car and return it to the post office.

Terrible! Do not buy this! Both the washer and dryer were damaged upon arrival. It was not Fedex who did this because the boxes they came in were fine. The washer instructions were INSIDE of the washer where it was broken. When trying to return it all they said was "we will conraft you in 48hrs". I am VERY dissapointed as i spent a lot of money on these. I will be getting a FULL REFUND. Also you have to do the electrical work yourself as the dryer did not come with a plug, you have to buy a plug for the wall. I have TONS of pictures and videos.

Got mine February 8th and it wasn't even the right washing machine, my husband put it in and told me in had a dent and water inside and I looked and it is Amana washing machine and smaller and didn't have the stainless steel tub, I have the box it came in still. I have talked with Walmart several times about this and nothing happens. I even bought extra insurance now that's not going to be any good if something happens to this one I didn't order. Very disappointed this one has a small tub and not stainless steel and I paid alot for it too.

Washed a few months, all of a sudden would not drain. Its been days, tried everything and still full of soured water.

This is a lousy washer. Won't wash. Doesn't spin out properly. Will kick off and leave clothes soaked.
