Hotpoint - 6.2 Cu. Ft. Gas Dryer with Auto Dry - White

I bought a hot point washer about a year ago and it works great and then my dryer went out and there was no other choice but to buy it's sister dryer, Just a simple dryer no bells and whistles,low price and looks great next to it's sister, without a second thought I would tell you to buy this one if it's just a simple low price dryer that works just a good as the higher priced ones.

This HotPoint washer/dryer were within our price range, do the job nicely, and are simple to operate. While we appreciate those machines with 128 possible combinations of washing and drying, HotPoint is perfect for those of us who just want "wash" and "dry" without too many options.

I have always used hotpoint dryer.. It was al ittle smaller than expected,whihc is fine... I have limited space off my kitchen. I wanted simple as I am older .the less buttons and whistes the better

I purchased this item approximately one month ago and am thoroughly impressed with its performance, particularly its efficiency and rapid drying capabilities.

Drys just fine. The dials are very stiff to turn. Door has to be slammed to shut. Start button can get stuck and you have to pull it out a little (which is very hard) and then push to start. For anyone with arthritis in your hands or wrists it would be OK if you have someone living with you to help.

This was a downgrade from a previous model, but honestly seems to work just as well. Not as fancy but we were in a pinch. It does not have an internal light, however.

I am disappointed with three features of this model...first, the unit does not turn off if the clothes are completely dried which causes the clothes to be so hot they can't bee touched immediately; second, the alarm to alert you that the dryer is shutting down is extremely loud; third, there are only three heat settings. high, medium and no heat; most dryers have a low heat setting

My husband purchased this gas dryer on 6/6/26 and on 6/7/26 it stopped working after 8 loads of laundry. I have tried everything in the owners manual for trouble shooting. Nothing made it start back up again.I will see about either getting it replaced or a refund, but I am really disappointed. You don't get what you pay for anymore, just problems it seems.

It does not dry things well even when it is set on high temp. Took over 90 minutes to dry towels on high temp setting. Same thing with sheets. Blue jeans take longer to dry also because we do not use high temp to dry them. Drying time is much longer than our old dryer which was 25+ years old. And we only used the low and medium temperature setting on it. So, your Hotpoint dryer isn't so hot. Really disappointed.
