Paper is beautiful, however, keep in mind this is REAL wood shelf paper. Can be crumbled when you use it. Measure carefully and lay flat. Smells wonderful. I purchased some Cedar Oil to rub on it when the smell goes away. I plan to purchase more to line chest of drawers too.
The liner was easy to cut to fit. It will be refreshing to get out my spring and summer clothes from the drawers next year.
I love the cedar rolls. There was more in the package than I anticipated. I was able to do one whole entire dresser drawers. It makes everything smell so nice and fresh and clean. I will buy them again. Got another dresser to do.
I used the product to line the bottom of some 20 x 21 inch doors. I ended up taping two strips together. Have put some scrap wood on it to help it lay out until I can fill them with clothes. I ended up cutting it with a paper cutter, it worked fine.
Excellent to place under oriental rugs and line drawers filled with clothes or linen to protect against moths. Great look and smell also.
If you are looking to line your pantry or drawers with this product just to make it smell nice and look nice that would be the product to buy. It smells really nice! We bought this product because we thought that it would repel pantry moths. We put trap (catchmaster pest traps)pantry right next to the lining and already caught about 6 of them in a couple of weeks. So the traps that we bought work well but the lining is not doing its job.
I love the idea to line my closet shelves, but no sticky backing to hold it down. Curl in the roll is pretty strong. Cedar is very thin and frays. Would have been nice to have some ideas/instructions on installing it so it is secure.
Was not 6 feet long for starters! I thought it had an adhesive back but does not. VERY thin, tears easily, and is so tightly rolled you need to set stuff on it to flatten-not for use one drawer sides unless you want to do a ton of work! It is cedar though and smells great so hopefully will deter moths even if just in the bottom of the drawer. As I said, it works but overall I was kind of disappointed...
I ordered 4 rolls and was happy with 3 of them but disappointed with one. The rolls are actual cedar, smelled great, and were attached to a paper backing that was easy to cut with regular scissors. I rolled them over a wrapping paper tube, secured with rubber bands, and left them a few days to straighten them out. One roll appeared to be pieced together from multiple scraps, taped on the back in several places, had scraggly edges, and was different from the other rolls. The other 3 rolls were solid sheets of paper-backed cedar and not multiple pieces merged together. This is why I rated the product lower. The quality was inconsistent.
The cedar liner roll is made up of a thin sheet of cedar bonded to a paper backing, the combined thickness is 0.008 inches. The paper backing is much like freezer paper with a slick waxy coating on the exposed underside. Although aromatic (eastern red) cedar is indigenous to the eastern USA, the product is manufactured in China. The smell from the liner roll is more akin to the outgassing of formaldehyde-based glues than the aroma of eastern red cedar. Due to the waxy paper backing gluing the liner roll in-place is nearly impossible, even with CA cement (commonly known as superglue).
