I love the fact that it will not rust, and will last forever. The Steel post are a nice size and it was easy to assemble. It looks really nice in our back yard and I would recommend this to any one who still likes to hang clothes out in the Sunshine.
This replaced an older clothes line pole that had seen better days. The most difficult part of the installation was removing the old concrete base. The pole is much sturdier than the old one. Looking forward to many years of trouble-free use!
The product looks good only time will tell if it holds up. One set of holes did not align up and had to play with it the bolts but once it was done it works great.
Matches outdoor fencing, very durable.
The pole is made of steel as promoted and is sufficiently thick to be sturdy. The two vertical pole pieces fit together snug and I anticipate many years of use. I had only two minor issues and one of them is essentially my error but I'm still inclined to relay it. 1. While the powder coated white paint finish is great, the top bar - that slides through the hole in the support pole - didn't quite fit so in my attempts to make it fit I scratched up the ends. I ended up needing to ream the hole out a bit to get it to fit. Not as much a complaint as an FYI for anyone that may buy this. Don't try to force the crossbar if you should find it doesn't quite fit. 2. This was admittedly my issue but I don't want others considering the purchase to repeat my mistake. Another perfect example of what they say about the word "assume." The clothsline's description stated "2 poles." Thinking all, okay most, clothslines have two poles - as in one at each end - I expected to receive two clothsline poles and crossbars. Not the case. Two poles meant two pieces that make up one pole and crossbar. Thus, I had to end up buying another, waiting for it to arrive, and doubling the project's original anticipated cost.
One pole had been a return from someone else. They had tried to make the holes match by forcing them... thus bending the metal. Doing that made the plastic cover NOT fit. The other pole didn't match holes, but I had a friend with a metal drill bit drill the holes larger so it would match. Someone should test match the cross bar into the main pole and see if THEY can fit the screw thru it. They need to readjust their pattern!
Good price and quality but haven't had it long enough to rate satisfaction.
I like the heavy duty gauge of the steel. The bottom section of the pole was set in cement before I realized the T-arm would not slide through the the circular section of top pole. I had to file off metal around the hole. The plastic cap didn't line up and cracked while assembling so I couldn't use it. I taped a plastic bag on the top of the pole to prevent water from collecting in the pole when it rains. I had much difficulty threading the 5 1/2" eye bolt through the holes in the vertical pole and the T cross bar arm because they didn't line up. One of the 3 1/2" eye bolts had defective threads so I couldn't put the hex nut on it. Pictures should be included in the instructions. I would recommend this product to a friend but make sure you assemble it before setting the bottom pole in cement so you can return it if it's defective like mine was.
T Post material was not what I expected for the price. Too expensive to pay $57 for each item. 2 should have cost $57. Not worth the $$$
T-Post bolt is not aligned. I have returned this product 4 times, with the same issue .
