This is a great clothes line. We had one similar, but the ropes finally gave out. I found this one at a great price. I really like that it turns, so I don't have to go all the way around in circles. Nice and strong.
it was easy to assemble. I did have to tighten up all the lines on it. it's very tall, so if you're short h less than 5'8" you're going to need a step to reach the lines. I recommend a very heavy base if you're not going to put it directly in the ground, I used a heavy umbrella base and had to add bricks to it to keep it from blowing over with clothes on it
Once the clothes line was in the ground and opened up, it was great. But, there were no instructions in the box so I had to guess how to set it up and, at first, couldn't figure out what the buttons did. Then, I had to use WD40 in order to push the pole up and open the umbrella because they were stuck. You need to include an instruction sheet in the box. This clothes line is bigger than my last one and holds queen size sheets without crumpling them up.
I bought this one to replace one I bought 17 years ago. I actually just put this one over the other pole already installed. Very simple. Hope it lasts as long.
Quite simply I am disappointed. The set up was fine, but the pin that keeps it up at a set height does not hold it and it collapses after a few seconds. I'll likely just use a hose clamp to keep it in place rather than deal with the hassle of returning it due to the box being damaged etc.
Does what it is meant for but it is quite lightweight. Would have expected something a bit more substantial. It is good to get washing dried outside inFlorida sunshine. We use these back in the UK all the time and they are a lot sturdier.
there were no setup instructions in closed. the two poles wobble where they connect and because there's nothing holding them together the top pull slips out of the bottom Pole. also, the sleeve that you're supposed to put on the bottom end and an insert into the hole in the ground to secure the pole in place is too big around to fit in the hole therefore not only does it wobble due to the insufficient connection in the pole itself but it also wobbles Within the hole in the ground. I would like to return this item.
this piece of crap that they sent to me broke immediately after I finally got the umbrella part pushed up and set up. I mean I understand that it wasn't that expensive but for it to break before I could even use it that's just down right crappy. don't buy this product it's terrible. made out of cheap cheap metal and plastic, if you want to call it metal.
LOLLLLLLL!!! I had one umbrella dryer in the past that has been around for decades with no issues. We moved houses, so I bought this one. Big mistake. I installed the dryer per instructions with the only difference being I dug the hole deeper (so it wasn't as high in the air), and I added double the rocks and concrete that it recommended. I then let it sit for about two weeks (constant NY rain), but when I finally saw sun again I decided to give it a try. Got it almost halfway loaded with clothes and you could see a noticeable lean to it. Started to go back inside to get my hampers back out and a tiny gust of wind came, took the entire dryer out of the ground, concrete and all. Needless to say, the way this is designed is no where close to strong enough to support the near 200' of drying line. And that's with me taking the extra steps and precautions. Buy literally any other drying umbrella.
Not strong or sturdy. If you put towels on the outer ropes and it rains, the aluminum poles will bend because of the added weight. Also the instructions says to make a cement pad for the pole placement. Other easier kits have a pole anchor that you can pound in the ground without cement. The only good thing about this clothsline is, it has a button to remove it for bad weather.
