This is the third one in 46 years. As far as I can tell the new one seems just like the first two. What wears out is the covering on the five lines, but all things considered it is a great product for exactly what we want.

This is a good sturdy clothesline . The individual lines are adjustable if they sag a little too much. This is a good product and I would recommend it.

My wife got a used one of these from "Freecycle" a few years back. It held up well despite 3 boys being forced to use it. They aren't especially tender with anything, but when their chores require hanging or removing laundry before being allowed to mess around with their friends, things can get ugly. I'm old enough to remember when things were made of metal and was surprised that this unit wasn't plastic. This one might outlast our kids' time at our house - they're built like a tank and only cost about 50 bucks. Walmart has the best price on this unit too. My wife said she could've installed it herself, but I just got some new tools that I wanted to try out (stupid Y chromosome!). Buy one. You'll be happy.

Great quality, good value, fast shipping. This is a must have if you hang a lot of clothes outside to dry!! This is my second "dryer", old one was purchased 30 years ago, same brand that Wal-Mart carries, same quality as "way back then". I couldn't live without one.

I had one for over 30 years. Ice destroyed it last winter. looked for one to match. This was it, fit like a glove.

MY WIFE AND I ENJOY THIS VERY CONVENIENT CLOTHES LINE. WE HAVE USED IT TWICE SO FAR- IT WILL HOLD 3- LOADS OF LAUNDRY--NO PROBLEM. EASY INSTALL--TAKES UP VERY LITTLE SPACE.

This replaces the same item that we had for use in laundry room for 33 years. All but one of the old lines is still pretty good- it will now be used outside. Made sense to get a new one for remodel. Only gave it 4 stars as it has been in for three months. Time will tell if it is as well made as the older one. The trend nowadays is to "not make things like they used to" - hope that is not true here!!

Shipping was fast and easy to install. This replaces my 30+ year old version that is actually almost the same. Some parts that were metal on my old one are plastic on the new model hope it holds up as well. Some new features seem better-the locking mechanism is much easier and there are separators between the lines for retracting purposes is good feature.

I'm finding that it is hard to get all five lines tight. I wanted to retract it out of the way when not in use. There is a way to adjust the lines, but I don't want to have to do that everytime I pull it out and hook it.

when i retract the clothesline. The plastic square end cover on right side falls off. I snap it back on. I guess its really no big deal. Im just happy you offer the retractable clothsline, because I love hanging my sheets and blankets out.
